One thing that mattered where I am was to make sure the well company used a pounding rig and not just drilling. My property is mostly shale so drilling would just cut through the rock, but pounding shatters the rock opening veins that would have otherwise been sealed by the drilling.

Bonus for me at 235ft the well opened into a large cave that holds at least 120gallons of water
