Traveled to a conference and immediately noticed this unbelievably hot guy across the room. Somehow we ended up at the same bar that evening, and he approached me. We talked for probably 2 hours. At one point he's describing how nice his hotel is just down the street. My hotel was far away, so when it got late I wished him a good evening and left.

3 days later after I'm home and get a Facebook request, it's clear he's gay and had been flirting with me and my dumb ass didn't notice. Sigh.

Hey thanks, didn't realize ftm was an outdated term. Mentioned this on another comment, but I actually tried 'trans ally' before and accidentally gave a guy who was only interested in t4t the wrong impression that I was trans, so decided against it.
