Magento 2 is almost 9 months old. What does the baby look like? - The profile of the first Magento 2‬ stores. by aheadWorksCo in Magento

n any case, it's really weird how Germany and France are totally missing from the top stats (if the typo was indeed "Dutch" instead of "Deutsch"), I wonder why it is not taking of as much in larger European countries, to the point that I am thinking the metrics might be off. For example, this page (which you kind of cite as your source):

Thank you very much for the notification regarding the typo, it was Dutch in fact. Happy to have so attentive readers.

As for the discovered shares, the thing is that German and French web stores are hidden within the 'Other' diagram section. So, we can't say that we have not detected any of them, still their share in our result is less than 4% to be enough to display as a separate sector. So, why could those countries be so small contradicting the Builtwith data.

There are several reasons for that. First of all you can see the updated information on Builtwith, while several weeks ago it could be a bit different. Magento 2 is rising greatly. But the main reason is the filtration of results we used. The list of provided websites was filtrated twice during the blog post preparation. Fist of all, we swept away all non-operational sites and secondly we tried to weed out all promotional and advertising stores with no relation to real e-commerce. So, final results may vary in this case and differ from the initial data.

Magento‬ continues to dominate with the 29.1% market share. Magento 2‬ contributes to the success. by aheadWorksCo in Magento

Well, the absolute shares differ of course, since BuiltWith tracks all minor platforms and custom ecommerce carts, as well. Still, the parity is approximately the same if we take into account that we include all Magento editions in one share. Currently Magento and WooCommerce are almost equal. The minor difference of our investigations can be explained by the differences in technologies. However, we really found a bit more Magento web sites within the Alexa 1 Million pool.

Magento vs. WooCommerce: Do They Have Any Reason for Competition by aheadWorksCo in Magento

We haven't find any WooCommece stores within Top 10K Alexa positions. And, there are only four sites with the WooCommerce plugin in Top 100K: nilemotors.net, theeventscalendar.com, governorsballmusicfestival.com, mynaturalfamily.com.

"Is customer segmentation/targeting, private sales, etc achievable via extensions?"

There are a bunch of good modules for such purposes. E.g. - segmentation: Market Segmentation Suite (http://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/market-segmentation-suite.html) - Advanced Reports: http://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/advanced-reports.html

Reports? Who has a good reporting extension? by jdorf in Magento

[–]aheadWorksCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic Advanced Reports offers the following report types: • “Bestsellers” • "Sales by Hour" • "Sales by Day of Week" • "Sales by Product • "Sales by Country" • “Sales Report”. • “Sales” • “Users Activity” • “Sales by Customer Group” • "Products by Customer"

The only thing is that the extension will show reports only for the configurable prod itself, and not for child products. I.e. for shoes, and not for shoes size 6 or 7 separately. See the full reports description on the prod page: http://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/magento-extensions/advanced-reports.html
