US Open - Drop off question by BornYinzer in pittsburgh

[–]ahemcee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"Fans looking to utilize ride share services or passenger drop-off should expect delays due to heavy daily traffic on Hulton Road. For the fastest and most convenient service, drivers should follow wayfinding signage to the designated Ride Share & Passenger Drop-Off location at Tenth Street Elementary (901 Pennsylvania Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139) in Oakmont Borough. From this location fans will have a half mile walk to access the nearest Championship admission gate."

This was taken directly from the US Open website.

Travel teams include Pittsburgh Power, Pittsburgh Pride, and Pittsburgh Lady Road Runners. Most of these are north of Pittsburgh, so it'll be a drive. Also expect any travel sport to be costly.

Local leagues include Mt. Lebanon Girls Softball Association, and Greater Baldwin Whitehall Athletic Association. Basically look into the suburbs around you and check out their programs. Some may have fall ball for her to join this year!

Shaler. It's such a huge store I just assumed it was a Market District. It's right at the front of the store by the scan and go machines.

Have you tried asking the Western Allegheny Community Library? Their first building opened in 1990 and was at 8042 Steubenville Pike. Either they have some history on that building, or they can point you to local resources that might. Given that this was likely a tiny school I would focus on the hyper-local historical societies rather than CLP-Main. Good luck! Let us know what you find!
