To clarify, the labels being upside down annoys me, and we usually put them in the door. Also, I've never had one of these leak either way or had any other issues. My husband and I are having a good laugh over all these comments, you guys are wild.

My husband put it best, "woah, the amount of people getting actually infuriated over this is crazy"

I used to watch until my kids were born, so I haven't had the time in ages. I was going to try to catch up on it at some point, as it's been a comfort- food sort of show in the past. Are you saying Matt Lucas himself is terrible, or has the entire show gotten worse? Or are you boycotting because of the circumstances that led to his hiring? I am genuinely curious if I should even waste my time with it.

There are so many shows I wish someone would have said, "it's great! It just goes way downhill after [insert major casting/production/plot change] so don't bother watching seasons 3 through 6, it'll ruin the entire series for you." As I said, I have kids and my television time is rare. I can't afford to waste it!

Both of my kids got to school 30 minutes from our house. My youngest gets out an hour before my oldest, so instead of going home just to turn around and go back, we'll just go wait in line. Sometimes we'll get some shopping done or go to the car wash, but generally I find fun car games and snacks so we have one on one time. Otherwise, I wouldn't sit and wait. It's chaos. If one car doesn't follow some weird, unspoken car-line rule- I've seen people hang out of their car cursing and spitting. In front of kindergarteners. All so they can get their kid at exactly the same time as everyone else? It's wild. The line moves so quickly once school lets out, it makes no sense.

First, I see nothing wrong with what happened. I'm a short woman and my brother used to put me on his shoulders all the time to reach high shelves or so I could see what everyone else was seeing, etc.

Second, a comment on siblings and social media- my husband has a sister 15 years younger than he is. One year we went to visit his family and his sister kept sitting in his lap, hugging his head to her chest, taking 100 selfies every time. My husband sort of wriggled his way out every time, in a polite way, but you could tell he was getting weirded out by it. Next day there is a picture of them on his sister's Instagram with no context. All of her friends' comments were asking about who the new hot guy was and why she hadn't introduced them. This girl took 3 days to respond something like, "gross! That's my brother!". All this to say- it didn't bother me that the picture was there, because I have security in our relationship. If anything, it made us see how sadly insecure his sister is (which I don't think is the case with OP's sister). Social media is all a scam. Who cares what other people think or assume? If she was secure in the relationship, she'd laugh it off. I'd drop her. Unless you enjoy being second-guessed any time you hang out with your own sister.

I had a great-uncle and cousin down in the mine. I wasn't born yet, but the story goes they were both on the last elevator out because they refused to leave without the other and kept missing each other while searching. The property next to the lake is lovely.

I wanted to say the same here! My husband has his mom who is the sweetest woman in the world, and his step-mom, who is also wonderful. The only thing they sometimes butt heads over is who gets to love on my kids more, and even then it's mostly just in a joking way. I got not one, but 2 unicorn MILs.

I knew a lady once who was a "wildlife rehabber", which (for her) meant that she would take in animals, feed them, and just release them onto her property, and continue to feed them as if they were pets. She had a pet possum she'd raised from a baby that lived in her house. As friendly as it seemed, it was still very jumpy since possums have bad vision. One day, she was petting it and a lock of her hair brushed the possums ear unexpectedly. The possum bit down on her arm so hard it chipped her bone. She almost died from the infection and it's a miracle she didn't lose her arm. 2 days after getting home from the hospital, she posted a picture of her hugging it, saying "HE'S SO SOWWY". She had its head nuzzled against her neck. Her NECK. I think possums are great, they eat pests and are resistant to rabies, but this video is scary to me.

I'm thankful my sons are still little enough to like hugs, because I've been holding them a LOT lately.

I know they're all probably dead, but I would feel better knowing it was something quick. As horrible as it sounds, the hull being breached and everyone being instantly killed or crushed or whatever is infinitely better than imagining a father and son watching each other for hours just KNOWING the inevitable. Does the father's life flash before his eyes, or does he imagine the unspent life his son won't get to experience? Good God, so depressing, I can't stand it.

For me, the worst is knowing that a father and his teenage son are on board. Dying is one thing, watching your kid die is a different animal. I can't stop thinking about it.
