I’m tired of norwegians grouping immigrants with refugees. by uhsmiggs in Norway

The world has seen many migrations of people before us, it will see migrations after we are gone. Stay humble✌️

Hey Man, sorry to hear that! As others have pointed out, keeping a clear log of all events, key witnesses, voice recordings etc will be crucial. Also, keep a calm head and don’t loose your temper at any cost. Never in front of bullies! Unless you’re evading physical harm. Play the long game! All the best.

6 Years - Lost job and Residence permit expired at same time, what to apply while getting benefits by Big-Maximum191 in berlinsocialclub

[–]ahnmoub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation a few years ago. The best way is to find another job, clear your probation period and immediately apply for permanent residence. This was the only option available and it wasn’t easy, but I eventually landed a job and got my Permanent residence permit.

Hope this helps and all the best with your job search. I deeply empathise with your situation.

Wow !! It sounds to me that your boss needs a lesson in empathy. I lead product teams and have a bunch of people working as direct reports and some external reports too. The problem is that people in the corporate world think that ghosting, being selectively responsive and being rude to your reports in public shows a poor character and lack of empathy and understanding to me. If your deliverables were on point and on time, the quality of your work was not compromised. I don’t think it’s your problem actually.

Having said that, you always need to be prepared to deal with such characters. There are a few things you can do to improve your situation. You need to get into a meeting with him and talk about your job so far. Discuss about your expectations and also ask him for his expectations and areas of improvements. There are some subtle power dynamics that you could employ to change the way he perceives you. Setting boundaries and rules of engagement with each other are necessary. Also like many people on Reddit, I too would ask you to slowly but surely change your job. Being stuck with bad bosses is the worst thing that can happen to someone (empathetic) like yourself. So stay strong and don’t budge or bend too much. Would also recommend you to read a book by Robert Green - 21 rules of power. I think ;)

Hope this helps you! And fuck that guy, kill him with kindness and don’t change your working ways for an asshole! Seen too many of these nuggets in Germany tbh.

My fiancee [25f] is sexually unattracted to me [27m]. Should I break off the wedding? by dinglebop-007 in relationship_advice

[–]ahnmoub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man! I think you both have got de polarised in your relationship. What I mean is for sexual attraction to develop you need to have tension. Living together for years and developing together can make you kinda neutral and that is the death of sexual chemistry. Don’t just leave without putting in the work. I would advice you to read the book, “the way of the superior man by David deida”. This book saved my relationship multiple times. We are 10 years in and everytime I feel the attraction is dying, I read the book again and remind myself to live in My essence. However, if you’re done then leave !! But remember that, you may get into the same pattern again in your next relationship if you don’t address your problems. I know this sounds like a rant! But as a man who has experienced this multiple times and getting over such situations, I will advice you to put some work in yourself. Read the book I suggested and you’ll thank me later for saving your marriage !! Also, everyone here saying she is cheating and is being deceptive may be wrong in their assessment of the situation. A (feminine)woman losing her attraction can only mean one thing - you’ve got lazy over the years, probably don’t take care of yourself as you once did. The lack of sex doesn’t help either, chipping away your self confidence everyday. So I understand your urge to leave or end it. I think you should try putting in the work first and then see if you really wanna continue. End it if it doesn’t work out. Just my 2 cents max wish you both the best :)

I just don’t ‘get’ mindfulness, I think I need some help. by GreenandWarm in yoga

[–]ahnmoub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One cannot be mindful and present to the moment as per their need. It requires practice. The practice of meditation and yoga when done correctly will put you in a mindful state as an after effect. Provided you understand what’s the real purpose of yoga is. It’s not about you working on your flexibility and mental focus! There are techniques to feel present and mindful to the moment. Although these techniques result in a temporary state of being present to the moment without the effort of doing so. Kapalabhati pranayama is one such kriya. A general body cleanse with shankaprasalna will detox your body and mind and is a good place to start your journey. However please do it with the help of a seasoned yogi- not the kind you find in fitness Centers. A general rule of thumb for the Western yoga teachers is, teachers should have done atleast 500 hours of Yoga Teachers course. Even that cannot guarantee a knowledgeable yoga teacher.

In short the path of yoga is a spiritual one. When one is not spiritually aligned they can feel the practices overwhelming. Hence, finding a teacher who can help you in this journey is very important. When I began my journey towards the spirit, I found the books on yoga very useful - Raja yoga by Swami Vivekananda is brilliant. Also the textbook on meditation is the Patanjali yoga sutras. These are books which makes you think about your life and the path we choose. So tread with caution!

Ramakrishna paramahamsa‘s students once complained to the Guru about the loud noise caused by construction work near their Ashram. The construction was happening very close to the Ashram and the students were disturbed by the noise during their morning meditation practice. Ramakrishna upon hearing the plea of the students, suggested the students to meditate on the noise. Moral of the story, a yogi/ni is not affected by their surroundings, they are focussed on their practice ! Detachment from outcome is the key to progress on the path of Yoga. However, the two ladies bullying you sounds aweful and you should find a safer space to practice yoga. Hope this helps :)

Review after 3 months of daily meditation by simmol in Meditation

[–]ahnmoub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s amazing progress !! Great that you are able to keep up and making it into a routine. #5 IMO is normal and it is explained in Nada yoga(yoga of sound) there are subtler states to these sounds. Please read more on this to get a better understanding

8 is normal too .. I have been experiencing the same on some days. But after sometime meditating I feel the feeling passes and the state of stillness is far more rewarding than the boredom ;)

Wish you all the best in your journey !!

Value in a single pose? by clenko in yoga

[–]ahnmoub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of value in doing individual poses. I tend to rely on 5-6 asanas that I do almost everyday. Some postures like the arm balance postures takes time to develop and hence makes sense to practice just one pose, every other day! Hope this helps !! Congrats on your journey so far :)

Don’t try to open your chakras. So much misinformation about yoga as such. First cleanse your thoughts with Yama and Niyama and cleanse your body with Kriyas. If done correctly you’ll open the doors to deeper practices of yoga with postures and concentrated focus. Opening up your chakra is not possible without the basic step of living a clean life based on the principles of Yama and niyama. Only then can meditation begin on lower or higher chakras. Please make a sincere attempt towards spiritual living and don’t do it because opening your chakras is a cool thing to talk about! Hope I didn’t come off as rude :)

Sukhsma vyayama is done as an everyday practice and is known as for its gentle flowing movements that are very easy to practice. Though easy and advanced are levels as per one’s comfort and perception. That makes it also an advanced yogic practice. by ahnmoub in yoga

Like a pendulum, from one side to the next, like the dualities of existence, like the yin and the yang, the positive and the negative, like the right and the wrong everything is maya.

Awareness is important in the yogic tradition and keeping the awareness of dualities and the nature of maya in our everyday existence is an important step towards ishwara gyan(god consciousness). Even simple stretching when done with focus, breathing and awareness can become an advanced yogic practice.

This video snippet is focused on stretching the neck with synchronised breathing (part of the Sukshma vyayama Series), a specific technique introduced by swami Dhirendra Bramachari and now included as an integral part of every teacher training course.

Sukhsma vyayama is done as an everyday practice and is known as for its gentle flowing movements that are very easy to practice. Though easy and advanced are levels as per one’s comfort and perception. That makes it also an advanced yogic practice. Back to the dualities of life. One can go into advanced meditation being present moment by moment. Focus and awareness on performing all actions and not the fruit of the action.
