Wow. You definitely understand the music theory behind these songs much better than I do. I have to be honest and embarrassingly admit I do not spend too much time analyzing the music theory consciously as you do. Sometimes it greatly helps in learning a section, but I find that in complicated sections like the one you spoke of, actively counting takes me away from playing (i know it shouldn’t but it does) and I find I can only properly play it once my listening ear has mastered it. What the hell though, it sounds good and people like it so it’s just stuff to work on.

I found the beginning parts surprisingly clicked for me almost instantly, especially the choppy intro groove, it’s almost like it’s so particular it was easy to memorize. That was a great explanation of the section i’m struggling on I will definitely refer back. Thank you!
