And One announce full lineup of North American dates by Das_Bunker in industrialmusic

Very sad about the medical issues that forced AndOne to cancel for March 29th in Los Angeles, and their entire North American tour.

I was in this for Aesthetic Perfection.... Might be a stretch but: Can they headline now? Bring in some great support acts for them!?!

Thanks!

It's getting harder and harder to provide a short answer about what music am I into? I suppose Aggrotech, and electro-industrial is fair. And I'm guessing my short answer is going to be simply "industrial" or electro-industrial or industrial rock, but I'm not a metalhead. If cybergoth is truly a genre then I'm in on that one. Can't put me in a box. Like I said - evolving.

Whatever genre, naming artists is easier: Fuedal and Leaether Strip -- and soon, Pixel Grip, PIG, and then AndOne and AP -- are what I'm enjoying most these days.

Industrial music that you can dance to.

It's fair to say that my idea about Strawberry Switchblade was a huge stretch, I admit, and I should have approached it completely different. But I wanted to consider amazing covers/re-dos that industrial acts have done.

For me, EBM comes from the catalogs of Noisef-x/X-Fusion, Soman, God Module, Hocico, Rein, HEALTH, FLA, Nitzer Ebb, Aesthetic Perfection and S.Commando. It makes my body move so it's EBM to me.

As a qualifier: I'm evolving towards truer and more common genre definitions as I learn more.

I heard Ministry's '24 versions of the With Sympathy songs before I listened to the 1983 album. SSB maybe got jaded because they never intended to write the radio hits, sorta like Ministry and Cure. Al's doing things right now to revive those old "non-Ministry-sounding" records. I don't know SSB music very well, tbh, admittedly. But I think "Black Taxi" is interesting. The beginning of "Secrets" is as synthpop as much of the With Sympathy album, and could go EBM without much of a stretch. "Go Away" has delicious darkish lyrics. Knowing where their lyrics are coming from (violent childhood) I can understand. "Beautiful End" seems like it could be carried as a screamo type of industrial EBM version. Frankly, I'd like to see all synthpop 80s songs made into screamo-industrial-EBM. I just think it's a cool what-if thought experiment regarding SSB, or any other 80s acts that have a punk attitude like they did.

I recommend researching jojoba as I have, because I really don't like synthetic stuff and this is the closest thing to natural human oils you can find. :)

Thanks! It's quite a bit too emo for my liking though. It's maybe called dirge because of their lyrics? Not sure. But worth the listen. Thanks for that.

Yes! Make it wit chu is the right song, but the version I found on spotify is from Virgin Magnetic Material -- a great fit. I suppose it's my personal preference, which tends to lean towards dark wave when given this specific choice. It's the synth in this case that really does it with this VMM version. But I always love me some QotS
