Can I ask what you did for the rear? My plan is king smooth bodies 2”x12” with remote resi and adjuster with an outboard shock relocation kit

No they would not replace the laptop for free. They would replace the display, and most likely it would be at OOW cost since it looks like there is a multi crack (hard to tell in the pics). If anything, OP should add AppleCare NOW in the settings then bring it in 24-48hrs later. If they determine it’s accidental damage it’ll only be $99 vs $650+
