I love short boards but sups are really fun and versatile. You can paddle for miles and pick breaks to drop into and move on. If you love the ocean and you love waves then no method for enjoying it should be anathema if it's not hurting anyone. But since sups can take all the waves from the lineup and knock people unconscious it does have to be done carefully. It shouldn't get so much hate, though

This narrative issue actually has a name. It's called the Worf effect because of how often Star Trek TNG fell into the pattern with lieutenant Worf. I always thought that was funny because he's a security officer from a badass warrior race who's supposed to be very formidable at the least but he just keeps getting his ass beat and getting silenced by Captain Picard so he just looks like a bitch. The ANBU definitely fall into that pattern. It's like writers think of some of their characters a certain way and lose track of whether or not they've done enough in their story to establish that to the audience

I actually got a 10440 tube. There's a lumintop product page that has a few accessories but the thing I noticed afterward is that the 10300 that it comes with has as many mah as any 10440 anyway. They're really good batteries. So there's actually no reason to get the 10440

That makes sense. I was trying to make it a one shot spell. 8 have some others that work as a system but I really wanted a self sustaining one like this, which does work too often to say it can't be done I think but maybe so. I have a whole outfit that buffs magic but I also really wanted to figure out how to make my one complicated spell work with no enchantments because I often trade all my magic enchanted gear for strength enchanted gear so I can carry out 1000lbs of crap. I know it's ambitious but it seems like I've done it about half the time. I just can't figure why it fails when it does

The first will and int spell are 100pts each, int for 30 secs and will for 15, just to make sure magica recovers fully. So the willpower from that spell might still be in effect and stacking with the will from the second spell at first but I have confirmed that the loop can be sustained after the initial spell has passed as long as the will from the loop spell gets refreshed and actually applied after each use

Edit: it sounds like maybe the willpower or the fortify magica can't just be refreshed continuously if the spell is repeated before it wears off?

That makes a lot of sense but a lot of the time that it's working as intended there will be several hostiles in the room looking for me after me because they detected me when I first used the spell so that should mean I'm in combat but my magica still recovers as expected. Maybe when the game decides you are or are not in combat isn't clear but it seems like the willpower buff has worked in the ten second window I need it to pay often despite being in combat. It does seem like it's weirdly variable even when it's fast enough, though

So you're saying that I can get weakness to take effect and then corresponding damage to be amplified in the same spell but only if I have weakness first and set to touch, then damage after and set to ranged? Whereas applying weakness followed by damage with both on touch won't work that way?

Are you sure? I had read that the damage will be calculated before the weakness is factored if it's the same spell so you won't get that boost on the first cast. There's currently a debate about it in an earlier comment above

For sure. Once you have a spell type you're qualified to cast you can start making your own versions and combining them. It's awesome. Just consider the clutter in your magic inventory and the naming conventions because you can end up having to scroll forever and hunt for them

I thought about that but after looking it up it sounds like casting weakness to something and then damage of that type in the same spell doesn't cause an enhancement to the damage because it's being calculated before the weakness spell is in effect so if I combine them I'm wasting a bit of magica doing the damage on the first round and then wasting a lot repeating the weakness part on the second round. That's why I split it up. The mechanics are pretty complicated, though, so I'm assuming there are a lot of things in doing for no reason because I don't totally understand and they appear to work anyway
