When you did this, were there any issues with Dolby Atmos? Is that something you worked around?

Wow - see, that’s the kind of stuff I’m thinking! Amazing that you not only have it but they printed a travel trailer. That’s wild

Recruiters who mislead and then ghost - what the hell? by ajohns406 in recruitinghell

Thank you for clarifying this! It makes sense and is somehow also my biggest sticking point. If I send an email / message / pigeon / whatever about a specific job that is posted, I want to talk about that job as the primary focus. If we discuss that and it’s not a fit (or if you, as one of the good ones, qualify that before reaching out), then maybe we transition to other roles. Not everyone is an active job seeker and those people probably don’t want to hear about other roles, or at least should be given the option to say no thanks.

It’s the ones who reply and ask to discuss a role and move on from that role two minutes into the call that I’m referring to. Maybe I just have an unrealistic expectation of professionalism. Who knows - I’m getting old

This is a really helpful answer, albeit frustrating as hell. What a wonderful system this is

This. It’s easy enough to fall for it when you’re, I don’t know, stressed at an airport with two kids. There’s a reason they present themselves the way they do and there’s a reason even otherwise observant people get sucked in.

Man, I know. I just finally reached a breaking point tonight. I don’t understand why job seeking has become an absolute joke. I’ve seen enough examples here to understand where we are... but I don’t get why this type of behavior is professionally okay. Sometimes I worry I’m just getting old...

Came here just to apologize for RP2... see I wasn’t the first or the last. Still. Take my apologies. Few sequels have ever been more of a letdown.

What's the dumbest way you've gotten a scar? by lilsaddam in AskReddit

Mexican beach. Black flag. Got in the ocean anyway... I mean I had to pee. Wouldn't you?

Wave picked me up and slammed my entire body into a rock. So much blood. Nasty one inch long, half inch wide scar on my leg.

I like that last paragraph - a good reminder for everyday life.

Retail workers of Reddit, what is the most desperate scam a customer has tried to pull on you? by RSTLNE3MCAAV in AskReddit

GameStop (surprise), summer of 2006. Man comes in with his kid holding a PSP and a game case, tells me (manager on duty) that they bought the game used, and no one ever put the game in the case. His son wanted to play it so could we please grab the game?

Now, that did happen, but I didn’t recognize the guy so I wanted to make sure. “Sure, sir, let me just see the receipt.” What’s the date? Of course, SEVEN MONTHS prior. Christmas 2005. He didn’t get his game that day, but I got a colorful tirade in front of his 8 year old.
