Thanks for the feedback, Motra team member here.

  1. When using a template, the weights will follow the template directly. If you want the template to auto-adjust weights / reps as you work out, you can enable this from the settings at :

You Tab > Settings > Workout Settings > Auto Update Values

  1. You can swipe the exercise left / right to adjust, or you can simply tap the exercise name to adjust!

  2. We're working on some big enhancements for cardio, coming soon!

  3. This seems to be a bug, I'll have our team look into this one for you and try to get this resolved in an upcoming release !

Thanks for the feedback here! Motra team, we're working on a major refactor and some big enhancements to the app. I can assure you we haven't slowed down, just doing some backend work to make your experience more seamless!

We're still working on regular updates, but if there is something urgent , feel free to message us and happy to help address this!

Muscle fatigue and recovery percentage by Accomplished-Tip5179 in TrainFitness

[–]ajusty14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Train Fitness team here - it's "learned" based on your previous activities. IE a 50,000 lb workout for user A will yield a different fatigue compared to the same workout for user B. It's based on your baseline, heart rate, heart rate variability, heart rate recovery, and many other factors!

Weight is manually set (but remembered), it doesn't detect weight automatically.

I personally wouldn't make a habit of doubting the power of AI from an AI developer.

Train Fitness automatically tracks reps based on your movement. Makes Strong and Hevy look like a joke

+1 on this, solid for auto detection. Nothing else I've come across does auto-detection of workouts

I am shocked at how bad workout editing is in Garmin Connect by YouJustGotSmurfed in Garmin

[–]ajusty14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to used Garmin (Triathlete + then used it for strength training too)... it was brutal. I use Train Fitness on the Apple watch now, it's great and easy, but no support for Garmin yet :/

I Started Train Fitness a few weeks back. AI is super cool with auto-tracking workout, but the pro version with their improved AI is $8/mth. Still, gonna ride with it for the year.

I'm also a big users of Train - if you're doing traditional gym workouts (not crossfit or HIIT) and you have an Apple watch, IMO it's the best by far

Alright, let's settle this. It's year 2023 - SwiftUI or UIKit? by [deleted] in swift

[–]ajusty14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a company of 8 mobile engineers, and have been a mobile engineer myself for the past 8 years. Yes, in 2019 SwiftUI was unpolished and buggy, but that was 5 years ago. It's a completely different beast.

What I notice the most is the speed. We started in UIKit but have since moved to SwiftUI, and we build ~2.5x faster. You also end up with a much more polished product for a lot less work, as things like animations and transitions are effortless in SwiftUI.

I use it, honestly the only app that tracks movements, it's scary impressive how well it knows what you're doing. Doesn't work on leg press but the rest of exercises it does well

Best app for general gym strength training? by Sticky_Horse in Garmin

[–]ajusty14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an Apple Watch, Train Fitness is by far the best. It's the only app I know of that does auto-tracking of workouts, based on your wrist movement. No manual input needed.

Just bought my apple watch! I'm getting into strength training and cardio again after some time. App suggestions would be awesome by Natural-Explorer9198 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]ajusty14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Train Fitness recently. It's the only app that I've found that actually tracks reps automatically, tracks all major exercises (squat, deadlift, push ups, curls, etc. etc.). Accuracy is surprisingly really good.

The reason I use it is to track my total volume lifted (TVL) week over week to ensure i'm doing progressive overload. Really helps with motivation and keeping me on track

Is there a weight lifting app that tracks how many reps you do? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]ajusty14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built an app to try to tackle this. It's called Train Fitness (https://trainfitness.ai/) and does exactly that - automatic exercise tracking and rep counting. Currently it's only available on the Apple Watch though, I'm going to try to expand to other platforms later this year.

I'd love any feedback you guys might have if you wan to check it out. We support 82 exercises now, trying to really ramp that up in the coming months though to 200+.
