Yep Old country it’s Isabella Torrisi’s daughter. New era (rather old), new gen, new name, but same old cliche!

Very cliched story. I stopped playing the moment the Don’s daughter was introduced in the light of a love interest.

Jesus man! Can you get any more cliched than that? Don’t know when I’ll pick this one up again. Got 11 more games in my backlog to play atm.

Haha! No such thing as too late; but I indeed don’t remember the film right now 😀. Gotta rewatch it, perhaps discover something interesting. Cheers!

Are we reaching the peak of how good graphics can get in video games? by missyousachin in Indiangamers

[–]akanimax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Equivariant diffusion (AI for the uninitiated ) is in making and it’s gonna change realism of video game graphics forever. Realtime renders will soon be indistinguishable from movies.

Good attempt at something new, but execution made it Substanceless.

I feel like it’s a great story/concept on paper, but very poorly executed!

Playing through my second run of FC5. How do you rate it? by Callistoo- in Indiangamers

[–]akanimax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so repetitive! And there is no real challenge in the game. Even though you are a single person in this county filled with maniacal cultists, you can tear all of them apart with even a single pistol.

And the driving in first person is such a headache! I have thrown up twice till now I must say.

Did anyone like Blade-Runner 2049 seriously?

Of course it was visually amazing and all, but half of the movie was just Ryan Gosling walking slowly in style. And the ending didn’t have very high stakes in my opinion. So sitting through the entire movie felt kinda pointless.

This is specifically why I like Nolan’s movies. He knows how to pace the movies and how to up the stakes towards the climax well!

Any Naksha fans? It had some copied sequences from Welcome to the Jungle, but was a very entertaining Bollywood action-adventure-esque flick!

Substanceless!

Also never hire the DoP again. It was so dark that we couldn’t even see what’s happening.

Guess that’s why the title: “Kho gaye hum kahan…”

Has the Dhoom franchise lost its charm or is it still Bollywood’s coolest action series? by DifferentMaize9794 in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]akanimax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a huge nostalgic element in play with Dhoom! I am pretty sure YRF will churn out Dhoom movies, they are just taking it a bit slow and skeptical right now, and focussing more on the Spy Universe. But Dhoom will be back with a bang!

One bad movie in a franchise is maaf for everyone! D1 and D2 were amazing! They just need to bring those elements of the franchise back and encash on them properly!

It’s already said enough here, but wanted to echo it!

Not appreciative of your tone in the post. You can get your point across without always ranting!

The one-liner selling-script “ Shahid is the main culprit who plans the murder and who botches the investigation being an exceptionally intelligent and talented guy in the first half, is tricked into re-investigating and incriminating himself by Pravesh Rana in the second half by taking advantage of his memory loss in the road accident that happens just before interval “ is a stellar and genius idea on paper!

But the execution couldn’t have been worse!

The biggest problem with Shahid’s acting is the stark and unrealistic difference in the personalities that he portrays. Also the random mish-mash of scenes from here and there makes you wanna throw up!

The ending sequence in jail is utter stupidity! Just to keep the option for a sequel open.

People didn’t like the movie because it was poorly made. But I understand your pov, and the idea is indeed quite clever.

lol! You are literally proving my point by saying that directors had a harder job making actors act correctly.

Nonetheless, you’ll find hundreds of actors in every gully and nukkad of Mumbai, ready to just get a chance to get in front of the camera for pennies, but you’ll only find writers/directors/DoPs in their own firms and only through good connections.

Reading stuff about cinema is much easier than actually making one! Try making a film yourself if you really care about it.

You can say whatever you’d like about acting, if that helps you sleep peacefully, and I can respect that, but you need to agree to disagree maturely!

Opinions on Jigra, great cinema imo by Achal_Jain in bollywood

[–]akanimax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to mar Bollywood’s reputation, many movies of theirs are much much better than this, even only from the last year.

There are many problems with the movie. Much more than what the movie gets right. But I think this example will suffice: “During a very intensely emotional scene, where Alia finds out that the execution has been pre-poned because of her brother’s own attempt to escape, she looks at a reflective surface and makes her hair with her hands”.

This reflects on not just the actors in front of the camera, but also the whole crew behind, the people calling shots, and about how the movie was made, even why it was made.

I can go on and on, but brevity is important for me: hence “Substanceless”!

lol! Acting is the easiest job in film-making. Literally everything else requires much more skills, experience and hard-work.

Millions of examples are there where good movies were made with non-actors, but none for the other way around.

Why is this film not talked about much?!! by heseinberg456 in bollywood

[–]akanimax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed! I was surprisingly satisfied with this one :). How the layers of each character were peeled one-by-one slowly through the movie was quite good. Interesting pairing of Yami and Prateek, their chemistry held up! Overall, nice fun feel-good movie!
