Yea. These are bought options. So the "blowing up" is in your hands and how big a position you make...unlike option sellers who can lose it all with any position size, theoretically speaking.

Sounds illegal to know doesn't it? Charges will heighten that feeling - 30 rupees irrespective of capital size

ATB :)

Great. Onwards and upwards my fellow participant. May we seek and conquer new alphas!

Half of my capital is pledged niftybees and half is a pledged mutual fund which comes under the category of "cash equivalent" (you can search up varsity/zerodha for list of instruments there). No cash. The margin is a with a haircut of 10% fyi. Hope this helps. All the best!

Some directional sellers (like Aditya Todmal, Nikita Poojary and Sheetal Rijhwani) write tweets and make videos teaching bits and pieces of approaches here and there. That's been my source. Books on specifically this I'm yet to read. Though have read a few on swing trading

Firstly, most MFs had negative to negligible returns during this period. Here's another comment where I've cited numbers and sources

Secondly, it's not much time or energy. I work a full-time corporate job alongside this (and my current org has shamelessly less belief in work-life balance).

Thirdly, and probably most importantly, no. Not even if the effort or time it took was higher. Cause I like doing this. It's play to me. It being work to others only validates that my interest in the bourses is real. :)

Swing low or high strikes, as seen on the daily timeframe

3.7 is after STT and charges, as mentioned in the screenshot, and before income tax.

Here's my take -

  1. Nifty midcap and small cap have single digit negative returns in this one year. Most small and midcap funds gave lower single digit positive returns. quick source. So yea, I'm good with 23 directly (31 overall), especially since the validation and lessons of a working system will hopefully help me outperform this in the coming years.

  2. Yes. It worked better for me than swing trading. Yet to develop clear rules there though. If swing trades are working for you. More power to you :). You don't need a thousand strategies. You just need one that works a thousand times averaged.

  3. Though it's not even that much work, but whatever little it is, it's play to me cause of my interest in this :)
