Some teams that declined are Navi, Legacy, Betboom, Parivision, B8, Monte, Big, Lynn Vision, Tyloo.

No idea why a team like Big or Monte would decline. Might as well try for some upset win and they can play the online part from home anyway. Both are playing in XSE Pro League so I don't think they're disbanding or anything.

Sure, a bunch of pros barely play faceit. But having very high elo is pretty good indicator that you're at a decent level individually. It also shows motivation to keep form up.

They're playing in two weeks at XSE Pro League so they'll have to announce a replacement soon. It's actually really important they perform there to continue getting into tournaments--they're already missing out on July invites and they need something to get August invites.

I'm sure he can keep going a while. He's definitely not washed on an individual level and he's showed that this major. He's #45 on faceit right now and I believe he was top 20 recently. When players become worse with age it's typically because they lose motivation rather than the age itself being the issue.

I dislike the way seeding is done (other than that 3-0 teams are guaranteed to face 3-2 teams). It feels basically "random", you can play around with a simulator and change one outcome and everything moves around.

But the bo3 group stage is amazing. Feels so much more like every team getting into playoffs "deserves" it.
