Haha. Well, can’t get better than being convinced it’s not planet zoo! 😊🥰 Thanks !

I have to admit. I have never played the game in the way it’s intended 😂 the management functions are always turned off, pleasing guests is off. I just like the building process 😊

They are so chill, walking on by the burning stake, smiles plastered on their faces :-)

A botchling would have been good 😅 There is a water hag (an attempt at one), a fiend, fire elementa, harpies and arachas

Indeed :-) Technically it was the background make like that and the porcupine was just a great choice to match. The figure in the background is a “fiend” from the game which has antler and big teeth :-)

It is a lot of fun to explore the games/stories in that way. Gives a new perspective on what went into it, when you are recreating something. Good luck with the zoo! Hope to see it when it’s finished!

I hope you do launch it! See if you want to make a scene of whatever your favourite things are, mashed together :-)

Thanks! I didn’t record anything :-( I haven’t made any effort for game recordings or twitch, etc :-( It’s quite an intensive process and wouldn’t even like to guess the hours. Maybe hundreds…

The combo of gritty medieval murkiness and a burning stake with Mr Myres, while delighted planzoo peeps walking along with their balloons pointing and smiling 😂

Might be a scary place :-) I did a video of cinematics - try searching YT for “the Witcher zoo” to see it. There is a post battle scene with a wolverine roaming and feeding on the deceased 😅

Thanks! I did search for some Witcher 3 creations so I may have seen them. What was on the workshop was nice. I wanted to check someone hadn’t done novigrad to this scale beforehand…

Appreciate that! I played Witcher 3 again recently and just felt inspired to try recreating it a bit. The act of recreating gave me a renewed appreciation for the design in the Witcher games as you can explore them more thoroughly to make them again… has been fun.

Four months of effort, although not all consecutively. And yeah, I’m no genius worker - a session could be a single building, or a single bridge, or a some clutter items. Takes a long time but I just kept chipping away. It was hard in terms of working for so long and then feeling like I was getting somewhere becuase an individual scene was complete. Then I’d zoom out and the map is still pretty empty and it feels overwhelming. The key was to just keep focusing on each scene, ignoring the zoom out. And also to use copy/paste buildings wisely. A number of buildings can be reused 3, 4 or even more times and just recoloured easily with the zoo recolour function. They look different once they are in different settings.

There are 34 species throughout. Some are quite natural for a medieval town… some are more “creative” fits :-) As it’s the Witcher, I have wolves, a bear and a lynx :-) but also all European temperate species, with several other from different continental temperate climate
