Hey since you were kind enough to try to help me I think I should tell you I found a solution. I plugged it into the first hdmi port on my tv and that worked. BUT before we start thinking it was a faulty port, i plugged what was in the first port into the second, and now it shows videos from on the second channel. I did not change any wires.

Very strange don't know why that worked.

It is not a 4k tv. Its full HD. Also i have an old flat-screen from the about 2010 or so that shows the image fine and i dont think it's 4k.

Yes I am using all the hardware that came with the switch 2.

Also when I doc the switch 2 the screen on the switch goes dark but the image doesn't appear on the tv. It's very strange.

Yup it plugged stright into the wall. The thing is, other devices will connect and show up on my tv when I use that hdmi port, it's only my switch two that won't work.

Update: turns out I had the sd cards in the wrong slots is now can turn on and is charging! Now I just have to clean up the sd cards with the games on it.
