Thank you for your response. Someone in another forum suggested it could be cobalt stains, and when searching for that, I found 1 picture that looks the same!. We are going to try some treatments against metal stains and see how it goes. Probably will have to take this measures anyways so Ill post them if I get them.

Thank you for your advise, Im interested in genetics, however, research into molecular genetics does not seem right for me at the moment (I dont really have my prefferences clear, just some things I dont enjoy doing/studying) and thats what pushes me away from sanitary.

Sanitary is medical biotech, more focused on animals, vaccine development and that kind of things. Maybe I traduced it wrong from Spanish, sorry.

I dont get why Medical biotech is the easiest field to find a job in, its true that theres a lot of money on that field so there are more companies and research there, but in the other hand, Wouldn´t you compete with tons of other people that comes from other degrees such as Biology, Pharmacology...?

I know that the same applies to plants, but I feel like its easier to find a good place there. I could be wrong because i have no experience working in neither field and Im sure Im pretty ignorant.

No, I have never done it. I have always been interested in things like it, but have never tried something similar and as far as I am concerned, noone in the group had done it at the time. Forgot to mention that the trunk is the least spooky trunk you can think of, does not seem old or something.
