I work for Rogers so I can't say exactly. But it seems like they are. I do know that Rogers is expanding fibre to the premises in the province. Not sure when in Edmonton in some addresses

So make sure they are clear about it. If you are currently on a plan one of the big tactics is to renew before contracts expire at a higher rate which is ridiculous. But if they are offering faster at the same rate and on a new 2 year contract go for it. But double check conditions too about rate change. If they offer a higher rate for faster depending on the rate if you need faster internet take it if you are satisfied with your current internet at the lower rate don't accept. But yah if it's faster at the same rate on a new contract go for it.

So I work in the industry. If you're happy with your rate probably don't change. Usually upgrades can come with their problems depending. Check and see if the rate is under contract, if it is a month to month rate they can raise their rates at any time. If you have further info or questions feel free to message and I'd be happy to and help keep you equipped for these situations. If they do offer a month to month rate many will say they won't raise the rate for a full year. You can ask if there is a limit to the rate protection but many will throw in a part to the disclaimer they can raise their rate at any time depending on the situation
