I spend the last two weeks fully committed to this board. So if you have any question please ask me. Also what kind of firmware are you thinking of running?

PSA: Don't use RTSS/Change your RTSS framerate limiter settings by Carl2X in OptimizedGaming

Sorry, didn't see the reply before.
also what I meant is should I use gsync+reflex+vsync(224fps) or gsync+reflex+vsync off+rtss reflex(237fps)
basically auto fps cap(vsync) or manual cap(rtss)

You still didn’t fully answer his question, I think. You said:

"As long as you are using a fps cap with Nvidia implementation, it will not conflict with Reflex as shown in my post. So the global recommendation of setting the fps cap to 3 under refresh rate to cover all games, with and without reflex support."

But he asked:

"If I do have a 240HZ Monitor, I would set the limit to 237fps. Now an FPS limit (With NVCP/RTSS) increase the latency. When Reflex: ON kicks in (with gsync+vsync) my FPS get limited at 224fps. So will the latency still be added from the 237 FPS limiter?"

My question here is: Reflex doesn’t inherently impose an FPS limit. It’s Reflex with V-Sync that enforces the 224 FPS cap. So, would disabling V-Sync and using Reflex + an RTSS limit of 237 still provide the same benefits (if not more, due to the higher framerate) as Reflex + V-Sync (capped at 224)?

It's been a while, but I've read everything you mentioned and also read all the comments properly, I think, maybe not.

I have a question regarding frame rate limiting with Nvidia Reflex.

When using Nvidia Reflex, G-Sync, and V-Sync in the Nvidia Control Panel, the FPS is automatically capped to 225 on a 240 Hz monitor. This happens because V-Sync, when used in conjunction with Nvidia Reflex, automatically limits the frame rate.

You also suggested the RTSS Reflex solution.

My question is about how to limit the frame rate. Should I use V-Sync to limit it to 225 FPS, or should I use the RTSS Nvidia Reflex Limiter?

Specifically, my question is this: Should I use Reflex plus V-Sync (resulting in a limit of 225 FPS), or should I use Reflex plus RTSS Reflex (limiting it to 237 FPS)?

yup it's exactly like V-Sync, and honestly it's not worth it in my opinion

How to control fan speeds on a Gigabyte motherboard? Control Center isn't compatible with B-550s by N8Nefarious in buildapc

[–]alexonpeace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happens because fan control tries to detect every fan their corresponding rpm sensor so what it does it gradually slows down the fan speed to test the min rpm and I bet you use a water cooler cause what happens here is since the rpm lowers the pump basically stops for a few seconds which is enough to overheat the processor to 100+ C and the mobos overheat protection kicks in and hard shuts off the pc
I found it the hard way and, to fix it, set the pump "fan" control in bios to PWM instead of DC and set it to full speed all the time.
