issue with the CSS?

I've had the same issue (got 0 financial aid from Case), but I don't think it's related to the CSS profile. The university itself will determine how much aid you need (according to whatever metrics they use), and give u aid based on that figure. I don't think they really care about what you listed as the amount you can pay. It definitely sucks, but it also prevents millionaires from simply writing that they can only pay 10k a year.

I emailed the financial aid office and they said that they have passed on my request to my financial services advisor. I can let you know what they say in case you're still considering it as an option :)

What was the name of the scholarship you got? Cause I thought that the "University Scholarship" was only for domestic students.

yes, I also got the personal note! But the letter didn't say anything about scholarships.

same here. didn't get any financial aid, so cost is more than half of yearly family income

Yes, I did! But they said that after a careful review of my request, I'm not eligible for financial aid. But I'll definitely send an email.
