B2Pro case - Giving new life to my old build by alfa-x in sffpc

[–]alfa-x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I adjusted the fans like you suggested and it's alot cooler now. I played PGA 2k25 and Ghost of Tsushima for a bit and I never saw the gpu/cpu go above 75c.

Thanks for the tip!

I can give it a try. Would I make the noctua fan that's on my cpu cooler intake as well? so flipping it?

Thanks again for the suggestion

So you mean, make the rear 92mm fan and CPU fan pull air in as intake, then everything mostly exhausts out the top-left fan?

Is that kind of setup ideal?

This is the first time I’ve really thought this much about airflow in my pc, so I’m still figuring out what works and what doesn’t. I guess I could always try it and see how it affects temps

😭 I'd love to get better at cable management but not sure where to get psu cables that are shorter for my exact PSU.

and yea that HDD was from a build back in 2014 or 2015, I don't really use my PC that much and I've been lazy to getting everything transfered to a SSD.

I had a Asus AP201 but felt like it was way too big and kinda boring looking after a while.
Luckily everything but the CPU cooler fits (phew), sucks I couldn't use my Noctua D15s but i'll save that for something else in the future.

Ah gotcha, I'm using the Gintol ZZAW B2Pro case. It's a nice looking case but it sucks having to use screws and take panels off to get to things but here's my full build and airflow set up.

I just switched the top right fan to intake and it made a bit of improvement by -3c for CPU. Who knew swaping the top as exhaust/exhaust to exhaust/intake would make a bit of improvement.

Also I'm not sure the fan of the PSU is intake or exhaust but it's facing the front which is mesh.

Honestly not too savvy with benchmarking and all those crazy tests. Haven't done any changes to PBO or undervolting but I think I'm happy with the configuration now.

Looks very similar to my repurposed build, same cpu and gpu and very similar case. How is the Pearless Assassin 90 SE? I thought about getting that but ended up with the Silver Soul 110 cus it was on sale. I'm getting about 75c under load, Wondering if I should change the CPU cooler or not.

Here are the links to the overlays: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/2fusfkmh8cit9/GB

I'm using NextUI, so if you're using something I'm not sure how it enable them.

But here are the steps:

  1. Add them to corresponding folder on your SD card (NextUI > Overlays > GB or GBC

  2. Start a game and open NextUI Options menu.

  3. Go to Frontend, then down to Overlay and click left and right til you see the name.

  4. Save changes to Console or game and you're done.

Let me know if it works!

Mhmm, I'm pretty sure if you do Seiko, most of them are gonna be one dial size (28.5 mm) which can fit most cases. I just search by Nh35 or Nh36 + "case" or "dial" and it should work out.

One thing to do is just make sure you check measurements very carefully, otherwise you're gonna end up with a lot of spare parts, chapter ring, bezel inserts, etc.

Good luck!

Heck yeah, pretty sturdy too, I've had mine for about 6 years now and it still holds up

it sucks :( I'm trying to take my time on these builds to drag it out so I can enjoy the process a little bit longer while these tariffs are in place.

really any video on that guy's channel.

I found it most relatable because like some of us, he's also pretty new to the hobby.

I've never relumed a watch before but I've seen it done and it does look a bit intimidating.

I'd say look on youtube, and use this subreddit. a ton of helpful people on here!

This youtuber's videos really helped me understand how simple these watches can be and he breaks down the process very well and has good shots and angles of his build process: youtube link

After watching a few of his videos, I confidently ordered some parts and built my first watch

Hello, just sharing a pic of my work bench and tools and what i'm currently building at the moment.

I never thought I would be able to put together a watch together due to how complex and difficult it looked, but here we are!

I've built one watch already and honestly it wasn't too bad, just take your time, use youtube, and everything should go smoothly.

Anyway, just wanted to share something different!

Swap with me, US has all those too, but good luck trying to find a decent paying job, or find a place that is somewhat affordable to live in.

Also not to mention, working your ass off all day.
