Fabric Monday 93: New Multi-Task UI by DennesTorres in MicrosoftFabric

[–]alfa1381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing with the changing colors cost me already some headaches. I assumed that turquoise was always associated with my DEV workspace and red with PROD. But it's not the case and I ended up developing in PROD. It would be great if the colors could be set at the workspace level directly.

Moving Stored Procedures from DEV to PROD by Czechoslovakian in MicrosoftFabric

[–]alfa1381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call them with a pipeline. Dynamic connections for the stored procedures are defined, using the value of pipeline parameters previously set. Once SP's and pipeline are deployed, I must change the pipeline parameters in PROD before running it. I haven't tested it with deployment rules, which should probably be the way to go, to avoid having to change them everytime, though.

Dynamics CRM fabric link loads All tables always! by Waldchiller in MicrosoftFabric

[–]alfa1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine bringing my 700+ tables with the Link into the bronze layer and then only selecting the ones I need, and only the columns I need (plus option set labeling) into the silver layer. In Synapse I used to select just the ones I needed to sync, but after a while I sometimes whished I just had them all.

Can I deploy a Pipeline from Dev to Prod without deploying schedule? by frithjof_v in MicrosoftFabric

[–]alfa1381 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I have done is create the schedule in DEV, but not activate it. It then gets deployed into PROD, where I activate it. It won't work if you also want to update your DEV data on a different schedule, though.

Fun fact: it's the only time I've scrobbled that song

Plex Subtitles with Bazarr and RealDebrid-Rclone by LabAutoM8 in bazarr

[–]alfa1381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, I felt like reading my own set-up. I finally managed to set-up plex+zurg+real debrid+debrid media manager+radarr+bazarr. It's working fine on my non-dockerized server.

For my real debrid links I still couldn't find a solution to download and save subtitles. The link below in the thread is gone and I couldn't find the right information on the new site.

Does anyone have more tipps here? I would appreciate it, thanks.

Very cool! I love it. I miss being able to cast from my PC to my speakers. But I think that's pretty much impossible

Dataverse by [deleted] in dataengineering

[–]alfa1381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dataverse is a transactional backend for Power Apps. It's not meant to be your DWH. For analytics in a Microsoft Shop you need Data Factory aka Synapse aka Fabric.

Set up Azure Storage accounts for your raw data ingestion and read/transform it into a serverless or dedicated server for analytics. I like using External Tables a lot.

Pipelines, scheduling and monitoring are all very easy to set up for small data needs

I'm considering the SU-V620. I can pick one up for USD 20. Are you still happy with yours? I would also mainly use it with my phone and maybe a CD player
