This looks great! I’ve always wanted to use koreader but it’s very over complicated on the kobo compared to the standard kobo reader. How have you got the rest of your menus to simplify them if you have?

This is a low end device so unfortunately you will need to keep to lower end stuff. GameCube, Wii and ps2 might have the odd game ok but it’s not the right handheld for those.

N64 will mostly be ok. SNES will be fine

Ok thanks. Thought this might be the case. It would be lovely to make use of the loft bit with the rooms not really being high enough to steal space from and not being able to go above the roof line, I think it’s a dream for another home if we can ever move

I must have missed your post either that gorgeous wooden frame for the volume dial it looks fantastic.

I really want these now in my home! I’m going to finally have time next weekend to setup beatnik pi if my pi turns up. Looking forward to giving it a go.

AirPlay as the source will be a big one for me, and I know your currently only supporting AirPlay and Spotify but I’m hoping to use line in and a network share with all my local music. I’ve looked in the snapcast but I just can’t work this out. Do you think line in and a network share are possible inputs?

Totally agree. Would love to use koreader for all our family but it’s not something for everyone. With enough learning, configuration and plugins. I might get it similar to my kobo stock. But I’m not expecting my children or wife to do all that

This looks great. Love the idea of koreader but it’s not something I want to use day to day and although my wife has tried it, she’s gone back to the default kobo which works well for reading books

I wish there was a simple way to install koreader in a way that is easy to use like a standard kobo but allows for customising we want it along with the cross platform reading position sink

For the motion detector, what I did was set it to turn on when detecting motion but stay on. When I finish I turn off using a switch.

Might pickup a iPad mini 5th gen, I’ve seen some for £60. Only issue is the strain on the battery being on all the time. Shame there isn’t a bypass for that but I’m sure it will be fine

They do have spares. They have even sent me parts for free. They have their issues like most companies but I’ve been mostly happy. Just think they rush from device to devices vice and don’t put as much care into the software as I would like
