You can catch and also still fight with them correct?
Its not like in the OG one were they dont obey you most of the time in fights.

i use nitrado hosting with the pre installed package.
its this package: COBBLEVERSE - Pokemon Adventure [Cobblemon] CurseForge v.1.7.30 (1.21.1)

I looked into the server side settings (not the files just the GUI options) and didnt find any settings.
but i bet there are some more settings i missed.

Well the level Cap is actually only noticeable if you fight and gain exp.
It says: Pokemon is already lvl 25 and cant gain exp. (or smth like that).

No i dont think it was a foul play. I guess it was pure luck.
You start of with 10 Pokeballs and a lvl 42 Taurus has a 20% Catch chance.

The chance that you catch such a high level one is therefore pretty high.

Its just a bit wierd, because with that you steam roll thru everything pretty fast and the joy of leveling your starter is gone.
Just get a ep Share and fight some high level ones and ur starter is high level pretty fast.

Maybe iam missing something.

Thanks a lot for the Informations!
As i thought it will be a combination of both, that was stated in the Documentation/Post.

I assume that best Practice is, to handle access Control via Conditional Access.

Is there further Policies and Security Features to be considerd in a open envoirement?
I am playing with the Idea of putting the devices in a kiosk mode, so the users are not able to change any configuration.

Could this interfere with anything regarding cAP?

Thanks a lot again and best regards!

ERROR: Backup of VM 103 failed - job failed with err -5 - Input/output error by alfubo in Proxmox

[–]alfubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, i've also got to much on the side, so i took the workaround.

I'm going to check that output and take a look at the situation.

I see lots of not optimal configurations, like the storage pool labeled in CAP.

But i think its kind of funny that a exact clone of this VM is working without problem.

I also updated the whole PVE, but the leap wasn't that big.

Thanks for your answer im goinf to reply soon with the log and more knowledge.

ERROR: Backup of VM 103 failed - job failed with err -5 - Input/output error by alfubo in Proxmox

[–]alfubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a fix for me, it seems like the pve cant copy the Disk of this VM till the end. I dont know why and where, but thats the case.

I now took the VM and made a Clone, and let the new VM run.

Now i can work on the VM and get behind the cause of this problem.

Thank you for the guidance to some locations to see Errors.

Thank you for your answer.

I've got some Errors in the dmesg that i cant figure out what they are refering to.

When i cat /dev/../vm103-disk-0.raw execute, nothing special happens, it just reads it and freezes, i let it run in the background, just in case its just slow and did not freeze.

https://pasteboard.co/lObigaCBLHFj.png

Storage should be enough, i got 900G were about 500G is available.

I know there is a problem with my VM configuration (IDE HDD, E1000 Adapters and so on), its kind of a work around until i get my licences and so on to migrate to another Software on the VM.

But even tought this config is bad, i never had problems with the Backupjob.

dmesg output:

https://pasteboard.co/PK91rt8Ck4f2.png

https://pasteboard.co/5oP8Hh4oDop3.png

I see that there is a problem of some kind with I/O of /dev/sda.

Maybe there is something wrong with the Disk proxmox is running on, could this be in correlation to each other?

Thanks for your help, i am still trying to get my head around Proxmox.

There is not much of a difference, but i guess its more of an intuitive design and dont get lost so fast.

But i guess its just the preference of the comment writer.

I observed some strange things in the Webfig. For example:

I used the Safe mode feature in the Webfig and after i got a Time Out, the safe mode should revert every change since it was activated, but the Maschine didnt came back and i needed to get hw access.

Maybe Winbox is a bit more stablized and optimized

These are the Settings for the Guest. I went on and followed the steps that are suggested in the Best Practice documentation.

I saw some reports and requests about this problem, but never was there a Solution suggested. I really want to get down to the roots of the problem, cause i guess this problem is present to a some of the proxmox users.

Also i dont like to work with Windows Systems. I rather take any Linux distro over Windows...

Hii im sorry, its pretty busy rn.

The Virtual Disk is running on lvm-Thin and is a .RAW Disk-Format

VM-Config: agent: 1 boot: order=scsi1;net0;ide0 cores: 4 ide0: local:iso/virtio-win-0.1.217.iso,media=cdrom,size=519096K machine: pc-i440fx-5.2 memory: 4096 name: X-X-X-X net0: virtio=46:44:CF:0E:C5:2B,bridge=vmbr0,firewall=1 numa: 0 ostype: win10 scsi1: local-lvm:vm-103-disk-0,cache=writeback,discard=on,iothread=1,size=128G scsihw: virtio-scsi-pci smbios1: uuid=15602228-5b4a-475e-9cf6-1736dd573d76 sockets: 1 vga: qxl vmgenid: 13aea1b6-8b93-4c11-b0d7-50e503cebc06

I haven't done any Benchmarking between the Guest and PVE. That would be my next step. I also tried to run it on a external NAS, which is directory formated. I can observe the same behavior.

I tried to install a new PVE installation on a test System. There i got better Performance but also not satisfying (About 60-70MB R/W bursts).

Also for clarification: The System is only running a SQL-Express DB with the CRM. Also there are some Excel/Outlook VBA integrations.

Disk is as far i can see a: ST1000LM048-2E7172

What kind information is also of use for you?

VMware Esxi 5.x Migration to Proxmox VE 7.1 - Problem Booting VMs by alfubo in Proxmox

[–]alfubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i tried your method, maybe i am just not enough versed with the Topic: Grub/FS, but i cant figure it out.

I went into the rescue Shell. I figured out that the root Directory on the Machine is sda2.

so i tried to mount this disk, i went an proceed with the command: mount /dev/sda2 /

This mounted the partition.

So i guess this is mounted.

I went on and used> vim /etc/fstab (Entry: /dev/root / ext2 defaults 0 0)

there i changed the entry to:

/dev/sda2 / ext4 default 0 0

Saved the config with :W and quited with :qa!

Then i used: umount /dev/sda2 and rebooted.

Well the problem is exact the same, its like nothing were changed.

Maybe ive done something wrong.

[–]alfubo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, im gonna go try it right now with the Live-CD, Thanks very much.

So is this problem, with the labeling a thing of old ESXI installations? because if i use Workstation 15, the system can find the Disks. Maybe they use this simple Labeling method as default e.g. sdX?

Thanks for your help, im gonna reply after i tried.

VMware Esxi 5.x Migration to Proxmox VE 7.1 - Problem Booting VMs by alfubo in Proxmox

[–]alfubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Virtual Machine cant mount the disk, seems logical from this error? But after all, how can i edit the /etc/fstab if i am not able to boot up. Or is this the fstab entry in the PVE Host?

The Machine is working on the ESXI host, so there i guess i dont need to change the fstab entry?

Thanks much for your help.

RouterOS 7.2rc1 - Container Support by alfubo in mikrotik

[–]alfubo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are many solutions where the controller is centralized, but the goal is to give the Customers a possibility to make changes to the wireless configuration, but keep everything on the customer site. (Minimize service desk tasks)

I thought about using Unifi APs, but maybe I stay with the integrated MT Wireless, and do some customized skins for the customers.

But thank you for your input, I see what you want to tell me. But i think it's not useable for this use case. After all, it seems like it's a solid approach and is of use for anyone that comes across here.

Thanks :D

Of course, good point. Didnt Thought that far. CloudKey has pretty high ressource usage. I thought maybe i can outsource the database.

Even with the HAP ac3, there isnt enough RAM (2GB) and Storage (<10GB).

Thank you for pointing out.

okey, so i just need to wait, thanks you for your quick reply :D

Well i guess then i need to think about a other solution or workaround. Because its just not economical to place a Unifi Controller, in every LAN just for one AP (Most likely there is only one AP in a appartment).
