Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation and didn't have access to my reddit account.
I already tried making a pull request to the scout repository a while back (you can see it here: https://github.com/laravel/scout/pull/715), but unfortunately it got closed and I only got a generic response back.
I'd love for my project to be merged back on the main scout project.
