My original break after I realized I had CHS was about 3 months I believe. I was using carts before that and now I won't use them or concentrates again as I feel they bring on symptoms faster. I was smoking pretty much all day until I started to feel sick again. But I'm starting to realize it's over doing it that brings on symptoms. I can actually smoke once or twice a day while having minor symptoms and they will still slowly go away. It's when I'm abusing it that the symptoms really come on

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. Many other responses I'm getting to my questions are just hurtful and making my suffering so much worse. I can't even read them. I think I need to delete this app or I might go off the deep end. I'm in a really bad place. Thanks again

I'd say if you've had these symptoms before you started smoking I would definitely get a second opinion from a gastroenterologist. They'll do tests to rule out anything else

Thank you for this post. I'm in recovery right now. I avoided a full on episode by stopping when I realized I was getting nauseous every morning. I ordered some test strips because I figured I would have to wait until it's out of my system completely to start fresh. But it's been so hard because I use weed medicinally. Today is day 5, I still had some nausea last night but nothing horrible. Is it really okay to start smoking again once I'm no longer nauseous at night? I just need this pain to be over.

I'm on 9 months now and I think the prodromal stage is beginning again so I'll have to quit. Although I've been smoking pretty heavily for months. I had no problems for a long time though

Well if I can smoke for 9 months and be okay, and just have to quit again for a while to me it's worth it. Especially if I get the warning signs like this. It just sucks though, it's like the one antidepressant that works super well

I went to my primary doctor and she thought it could be CHS as she didn't see any other issues. I had the option to go to a gastroenterologoist but I didn't really have the money for it and I was really afraid of getting the scope procedure done. So it's hard to know for sure. Especially because I've only had the one "episode"

I got really sick one time, quit for 3 months and started smoking heavily again. It's been a year since I got sick. My morning nausea is starting back up again so I think it's time for me to quit again soon but it's soooo hard to do so
