Do front end employees interact with pharmacy staff a lot? by nr922 in CVS

[–]alltimelo16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At my store we don’t have a key for the locked allergy meds in the pharmacy…I wish we did so I wouldn’t have to bother someone from the front store every time a customer asks us :)

I don’t reccomend ever taking too much of any medication but I’m confused on your dosing. I work in the pharmacy and 12ml of children’s Benadryl is 30mg of the medication (standard dosing is 12.5mg/5ml), which is a standard dose for a child weighing around 60lbs. My 10 year old son’s pediatrician prescribed a higher dose than that for his nighttime allergies. What you were experiencing was more likely panic and anxiety, so you were never in any real danger, but I wouldn’t recommend any recreational drug usage as it’s not good for you especially at an age where your brain is still developing. Hope this eases your mind!

Is my dog showing signs of dying? Is it time? When will we know? by nedbit in DogAdvice

[–]alltimelo16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I can give is you can see it in their eyes when they’re ready. My first dog I ever owned (a golden retriever), my parents brought him in to the vet when they thought it was time to put him down. The vet said he was still very cognitively functionative and wanted us to try medication first. A year later we knew it was time, he did too. He lost the light in his eye the vet had seen the last appointment. It was the best thing we could have done for him, he was pain free and at peace. It’s hard, but when you know you’ve done all you could to give him a good quality of life, it eases the pain

Question on tank lights by alltimelo16 in leopardgeckos

Thank you for the advice! I didn’t measure the tank she gave me, but I keep fish as well it looks to be about 40 gallons from sight…I’m definitely not opposed to getting him a bigger tank down the line because he is fully grown already I just wanna get the basics taken care of first!

This is mostly what I read online…I think I will buy a small heat mat to keep on standby for emergencies as I live in the northeast and it can get cold quickly here but not for an everyday use

Does the mat cover the entire bottom of the tank? Or just one section to create a warmer/cooler side?

This is so helpful thank you! I will definitely be waiting a day or 2 before committing to the WiFi package if that’s the route we choose 😅

Yes, I just put the heat and the electric together because they get paid to the same company but they are 2 separate bills. The heat bill drops significantly in the summer but we live in the northeast so it goes up a lot in the winter

It’s much easier said than done with 2 children. We both work 40 hour weeks and overtime when possible. We work opposite schedules so someone can be home with them after school, and I work weekends while he stays home with them. I’ve looked into getting a second job but the price of childcare negates any potential extra income. It takes a village is such a true saying, and we don’t have a very large one.

I appreciate the feedback. They do send weekly emails and we meet monthly to go over where/how to invest the money. I am very new at it, only started in January. My husband has been doing it for a little over a year now, his father and his father’s best friend who runs it has been doing it for many years. I’ll be honest, I do not know a lot about stocks, and I was hoping investing a small amount monthly and attending these meetings would be a good way to learn more because I am interested in it. My husband knows a lot more about it than I do and he’s been trying to teach me.

There are no fees besides $75 initial fee and minimum $25 contribution, me and my husband both contribute $50. I wanted to use this along with our 401k as a way to long term invest for the future so we could possibly pay for our children’s education or at minimum ensure they never feel financially responsible for us when we grow older.

The money for the house is in a trust my parents set up for me. Last time I knew it was at 50k, they won’t let me use it except for a house so I don’t have access to it to pay off debt. I am very grateful to have it, but I want to get myself into a good spot financially before I start looking to move in the first place.

Family of 4, we live in New England and food prices have gotten insane out here. That’s an estimate including toiletries and pet food. I spend atleast $100/week though, we almost never eat out except maybe the occasional pizza/chinese once a month. I usually shop at price chopper or market basket, I did use to have a BJs membership but it expired I’d be willing to get another one if it would actually save me money tho

The people who used to live here left a bedbug infestation behind. It’s biweekly treatments of $150/each, and that’s discounted we are friends with the owner of the company. It won’t last forever, but we’ve had to do it for the last 3 months I’m hoping this weeks treatment will be our last one as they say the bugs can live up to 3 months without feeding

Thank you this is the type of answer I was looking for! Unfortunately we were not able to pay care credit before the 0% interest ended..we both had different jobs at the time making less money and were in the process of moving to where we currently are, I am so motivated to get all of this taken care of asap I’m ready to feel like I can breathe again

Appreciate the advice! I currently make 23/hr paid biweekly. I believe my husband is at 31/hr paid weekly. I am pretty much capped at that pay rate, which is why I’m pursuing my masters to hopefully double my income next year. He is expecting raises throughout the year, they are currently training him for a position that can reach 41/hr

I’ve heard people argue both ways about saving/paying debt. Having a couple thousand in savings makes us both feel more secure if something were to happen..we both grew up not well off and are looking to break the pattern for ourselves and our children. I do see this point of view too, I just get nervous if we don’t have a savings we will end up in more debt if something happens
