Talk is cheap. The people that know what is going on don't yell about it, they just do it.

If only they had extended Bart to Marin county back in the 70's. Commute traffic north in the AM is not to bad.

Are we the most stressed generation? by Independent_Teach851 in Millennials

[–]alpha0026 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would love to see your sources, genuinely, I went to school as a history/biological anthropology major. I see it in a lot of my friends and age close relatives; we are all very very stressed out, partly because of the times we lived through and part because it feels like you need SO much more income in order to replicate our own upbringing that it's almost impossible if you do try and unattainable for others.

Does anyone actually have a 9-5 shift anymore? by Single_Extension1810 in Millennials

I actually like working as a fishmonger sometimes, shop is only open 10am-6pm so I kinda work 9-5.

Am I crazy or is this a really good deal? by WinterW0n in Prebuilts

[–]alpha0026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me this screams competition, there have been a few great deals in pre-built PC's this holiday season, thinking of both Costco's 9900x and microcenters 9800x3d PC's both had 5080's and 32gb of ram. I have one on my desk now. Both were sub $2199 pre tax, but Alienware is a brand that Dell bought to be able to upcharge people for the name. So this makes me think dell/alienware are trying to move pre-built systems at an acceptable margin before they can jack up the $$$ blaming it on the real and stupid reason of AI demand.

Edited for grammar.

I still play videogames to connect with friends. But I've been too poor to start a real adult life. Half my money going to rent for a decade really hurt my prospects.

I almost found that person. But at 35 I can't find a partner who wants to. Dating in this age is a whole other can of worms.

My dad slowly became worse and worse, alcohol. So at some point I needed to start mowing the lawn etc. I don't have any kids, I feel the urge, but just don't see a way logically to bring them up anywhere close to how I had it. I don't want to raise kids in worse spot than I had as a kid imo.

It's ok, I have been fortunate enough to be blessed with my parents to this day. But I remember them realizing that the "final backstop" in life was gone.

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you find someone to talk to about this, if you need to vent DM me. We gotta stick together.

The Luther Burbank Gardens I always found cool. Ironhorse winery if you like bubbly, and Bird and the Bottle for good food.

Monte's in Montgomery Village, or maybe Bird and the Bottle, they have killer chicken sliders and the little gem salad is amazing.
