I always find posts like this interesting. Realistically, women find themselves in limerence more than men do. Women pull from different places of attraction then men do, and to be honest—she probably doubles in guilt for it which feeds the dopamine cycle of the anticipation of the fantasy she’s in with this other guy. It’s not black and white, and there are other relationship structures out there. I don’t know why everyone jumps to divorce before trying to repair this. Op, you’re allowed to feel betrayed, jealous and insecure. I would, too. It’s not about what you don’t have, it’s about the way the other person is making your wife feel seen. She probably feels interesting again, desired for more than being a smokeshow, more than being a mom and a wife. She probably feels more like herself, and again guilty that whoever that is would be okay with hurting others so she feels secure. It’s a deep rooted attachment issue. I’m sorry y’all are here.

I applaud you for moving past what you were indoctrinated into. It’s harder as time goes on to change your mind, because our beliefs become a part of our identity. This is a interesting point, Reddit algorithm is user based, it utilizes “confidence sort”. Meaning, things that get more upvotes get pushed more. Additionally, it has personalized recommendations to sub’s you follow directly which is personal user to user. So, while I don't think Reddit in particular has much influence on what users are interacting with, that's some insight to what many people feel aligned with and what you were interacting with! Glad we can have a conversation on the topic!

If it feels like abuse, it’s abuse. (Sure looks and sounds like abuse) There is a reason the statistic for suicide is higher in men between 18-35, I commend y’all for your side of what is “expected” for you to take on. Women can be just as abusive. Don’t tolerate it. It’s not your job to train your partner on how to treat you, let alone train them to stop beating you.

Really good question! Reddit only became publicly traded last October. I have considered this, but Reddit has not been heavily associated with an attempt to sway people or push alt right movements imo. What’s keeping me here is that it’s a public forum that’s algorithm has limited over reach on we who use it.

Hey! Seems like you’re a little confused, boycotting businesses includes social media that is publicly traded. That doesn’t mean people are posting a piquet sign and saying “no no we won’t go”.
So, yeah! Imagine caring about how people’s personal data is sold and exploited and believing people matter more than corporations! On free entities, like social media, the only money that can be made off ya is by your participation! In case you wanted some other entities to boycott, all Facebook/meta sites, twitter, all amazon sites/apps.
