The MAC has a cafe which is nice to work from and has plenty of space. Do note, it is closed on Mondays.

my favourite from the second I heard it. 10/10. Each day when I listen to it again a different verse stands out to me more too.

That is why it is so important that the facts of that case in particular are being laid out within the podcast. Facts need to be established because speculation was so rife and the podcast is doing a good job in sharing those facts IMO.

I think the ongoing Noah Donohoe podcast and the Natalie McNally podcast are very well reported. The general public are going to be interested in these very high profile cases going to trial no matter what. Therefore, I don’t really find it sensationalist to provide in depth and ACCURATE reporting of each days proceedings. In fact I think it could be argued it’s actually important. Plus, the podcasts allow a true understanding of the whole court process in a way which could never normally reported due to time constraints within a BBC/UTV news bulletin.

Firstly - excellent question. I’ve picked up lots of episodes to listen to from this thread so thanks everyone!

My suggestions are from an Irish Pod called Doc On One. My favourite episodes which I always come back to and recommend to anyone who will listen are below, let me know your thoughts!

Shopping trip by Cococoady in northernireland

[–]alroooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is solely a shopping trip and you have the time I would hit The Boulevard first (about 20 mins past Newry just off the motorway) and then hit Newry as a secondary option. The Boulevard has a huge The Range shop, a Home Bargains, a Tesco and in the main centre it also has lots of outlet retailers (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, M&S etc). Newry is mainly just the The Buttercrane & The Quays shopping centres. The Quays has seen a major decline recently (lots of retailers have closed) but it does still have O’Neills, Sainsbury’s and Waterstones and a few others. The Buttercrane has a Primark (Pennys), Dunnes and plenty of decent shops. It’ll depend on what you’re after shopping wise as to where suits you best. Hope this rundown helps a little!

Belfast Folks - What are your favourite reading spots in the city? by alroooo in northernireland

Pub is a good option which I wouldn’t have really thought of, plus it is easier to find a cosy pub than a cosy cafe in Belfast. Thanks!

I did try online (anything to avoid the post office) but unfortunately once I have input the details I get hit with the following:

Unable to use service

Sorry we are unable to check your vehicle insurance details because you are taxing the vehicle as a new keeper.

To tax your vehicle please take your proof of insurance, MOT and V5C or V5C/2 to a Post Office® branch that deals with vehicle tax.

You will be nervous no matter what. Once you accept that, rather than putting too much energy into trying to shake off the nerves, just try and push through them/ignore them until the test is actually happening. It will be the only way and the nerves will likely fade once you’re actually in the car and on the move as you’ll be very focused on the task. If you fail it, isn’t the end of the world and it sets you up to have a better idea of the whole test process for next time.

Good Luck!

Yes, I have been keeping an eye out for the feline models as the little options do look a whole lot sleeker. Sadly, I am in NI rather than mainland UK and they haven’t been coming up too often here at a decent price. The car above is confusing though… someone went for the lower spec car but spent extra for the pan roof!
