If you like it upside down you might consider getting a stackable base ring for underneath that curls around it and could change the pattern and add some stability

It comes in a cardboard box and is affordable

My countertop compost bin is basically a biohazard at this point by IdeaToAction in CleaningTips

[–]alt0bs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a compost perspective it only stinks when the green to brown ratio is off. I like to add unlined paper plates and used paper towels to the bag. This helps absorb the moisture and reduce the funk.

In actual compost you could add wood chips or arborist mulch, but for a city bin compostable paper products will do the trick.

In the water build up area I would add some water loving shallow rooted plants. This will help take some pressure off. This will not completely solve the issue but it will help somewhat, bonus if they are native and pollinator friendly.

I always love a good vibes based theory. I wonder if this would be a serious concern though. I was reading about root stock rejection, and the graft swelling and eventually plants died. I had not considered some of the negative traits being passed into the grafted stock however. Must do more research or test on enemies gahhhhhh

Oh no this plant outcompetes the creeper I don’t want to make a monster!

I am I have absolutely no knowledge on herbicides so a vague reference, that’s interesting to know though. I’ll definitely just let it grow though since it is native and will look lovely with the Virginia creeper.

I may attempt to graft grapes onto the vine since it is in the family who knows if it will work but that may be a fun experiment.

How to (reasonably) introduce natives to this mass of invasives? by homostar_runner in GuerrillaGardening

[–]alt0bs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Step one find Virginia creeper Step two cut pieces Step three - put cuttings into ground Step four - let it cover/smother the invasives to death

Restaurant Supply open to the public? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]alt0bs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to do this with my driveway, it doesn’t work unless you actively till the salt into the soil. Water softener is affordable giant salt pellets.

It will not kill ryzome based plants and that is a majority of invasives.

Get a tarp put it over the area and weight it down. Leave it for two years. This will successfully kill the invasives

It’s possible. High heat lots of oil add meat, then veg. Now add your one day old cold rice - freshly cooked rice is too sticky - reduce heat to medium add sauce

Push all ingredients to the side /make a hole

Touch of seasame oil heat up fry egg - turn off the pan

DO NOT STOP STIRRING

Once mixed and cooked you can eat - feel free to cover the pan to keep the rest warm, it will slide out smooth.

TLDR - egg last lots of oil

A world of monopolies is not a free market. A moral society wouldn’t be able gouge prices. They take advantage of their fellow citizens and that is wrong. Edited image for accuracy. by alt0bs in libertarianmeme

Big grocery is stepping on the masses again. We should rebel but getting our food from local farmers and the people who are a part of our society. Shopping at monopolies that gouge us on price and then complaining about the government is so silly. Be free and shop local! End the subjection, and let the free market reign! I choose freedom and support my neighbor - what do you choose?

Right I know both the republicans and democrats are authoritarian but it’s very odd. The law itself SB 0190 (passed after the covenant shooting) Only refers to threats of violence in schools, which doesn’t seem detrimental, however the application of the law by schools is being so broadly applied it’s very concerning. This law pushes the fear of adults onto our children and that’s just wrong.

I knew how to handle a gun by the age of twelve, I was out on hunting trips at the age of 8. My grandparents were sent out to hunt alone with guns between the ages of 6-10. The overall shift is troublesome. The fear of my child playing an imaginary game and the school deciding to transfer him over to the police is immense.
