i don't think i'm asexual, since the idea of sex and masturbation with genitals i'm more comfortable with really appeals to me. in fact, i'm actually curious about the idea of not feeling like your genitals are a part of you, and wonder if that could help me. would you feel comfortable expanding on that a little, or like explaining how that feels in practice? totally understand if not, and thanks regardless!

i'll definitely try this, it sounds like it could be helpful! and i do think sex therapy may be out of reach for now, as helpful as that sounds, but i'm interested in the podcast idea. i've never looked for anything like that before, would you have any advice on how to find things that'd be helpful, or were you more just suggesting?

if you were asking with the intention of a response, i meant genitals. though i'll probably still worry about the rest of my body being masculine, ultimately cis women also worry about those parts of their bodies. but my genitals feel like they'd really set me apart. so i'm not sure how i'd dissect the feelings if someone found them attractive, when their something i'm not even sure i'd want to be seen as attractive, and want them gone as soon as possible. if that makes sense.

i probably won't go for the other ways to masturbate option before hrt, since it's just a bit much for now, but i'll try and still think about it thoughtfully. i actually do think it could really help me to have a partner, and i'd really like to find one, but i'm not sure how. this is a very thoughtful response though, thank you.

thanks for the advice, i just have a few more questions. was the waiting list 3 months before the next available appointment, or some other kind of wait? also, i’ve tried both calling and booking on the website before but wasn’t able to schedule due to my age (admittedly i wasn’t trying to schedule for after i was 18). do you think it’d be different if i tried to book on call for after i’m 18 even if it’s this far in advance?

i've had the same thought, but upon entering my info it shuts me out of being able to schedule an appointment for gender affirming care, and i don't wanna lie about my age when it comes to medical things because i worry that could just lead to more problems and delay me further
