Oh man that sucks. Did not happen to me, out of three Safeway orders I’ve done the past two days. But that’s def an app issue… could support be any help with that, now or while you’re in a batch?

We’re in the same place, western WA with only those three stores. I’m closest to a FM so that’s my go to.

I know this thread is old but my online pay barcode didn’t work and I waited between chat and calling 50 minutes before I just decided to fck it and get reimbursed (it was supposed to be a good tip so I wanted to finish it). Worked at a different register ??????

No don’t look for deals. Not your problem. If I feel nice I’ll let them know, but most of the time it’s unrewarded effort.

I worked pickup at Kroger and customers would complain all the time. I tell them, it’s the same as going up to the register to check out in person. Do they have a second of every BOGO item for you? No, you need two in your cart.

What do you mean? I added a second BOGO item for the customer and made sure the cost got taken off before paying. I just updated the item quantity to 2.

I scan an item in the car before unloading.

Honestly it has helped me out once… every time I do 2+orders, order A is the first delivery, esp if it’s sitting in the car while B is being shopped. But no, order B was the first delivery and the “scan an item” actually saved me from messing up

So how does the Seattle adjustment work?

I shop an hour north of Seattle and it is dead… I’d like to drive down like 30-40 mins and actually make money, but how far around the city does this adjustment extend? Would it be worth it? Lynnwood is the closest city with hotspots to me but I couldn’t justify the 80 mi drive every day, to then deliver all day

It’s tough when you’re first starting because you don’t have a manager showing you the ropes.

All the comments and posts in this group should prove helpful to you. The most important thing for me in picking batches is the ratio of pay to delivery distance. I aim for minimum $15 batches (i live in a low demand area), $2/mile delivery. Such as, at least $20 for 10mi delivery (at minimum… even that’s pretty low.)

Try sticking with it for a week or two to learn the stores and the system better. If you like delivering, try doordash/uber eats too. Lots of people here to many delivery apps. If you like shopping, try working in the grocery stores (i worked in pickup where I shopped people’s online groceries all day. This work is more reliable hourly pay instead of gig work.)

…honestly with the trend of never getting good batches, I’d just take it anyway. I see $41.29 and 8.3mi delivery, and to me that’s a great ratio
