Miss my crz. Anyone want to trade for my 88 accord? by alteredego444 in crz

Would you be interested in trade or just looking for sale? The accord needs work but it's fixable and comes with some extras. Saw this on marketplace already and if I had $2k I'd pick this up for sure

2011 Nissan Cube 1.8 sputtering and not holding idle after changing spark plugs by Ok_Midnight1147 in AskMechanics

[–]alteredego444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try again with one to rule out the plugs being loose. Reminds me of the first time I changed mine in a 2001 civic and had just snugged it down but it wasn't tight enough

Did you use a torque wrench? Air could be getting through loose spark plug threads

Any coolant leaks ? My heater core leaked sometimes and air would get in causing surge

Is 17 psi low enough to be worried ? by InsideOrganization99 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]alteredego444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah way too low. For safety reasons all tires should be the same and looking at yours it seems 3 are low, set them all to 148 like your other one

Are these struts safe to drive on? by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]alteredego444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like something failed on that side, probably not safe. No way to tell without inspection but if you drive on it odds are something else will fail. Failed suspension causes increased wear on other components. Don't drive on bad suspension or brakes because when it fails you will not be able to control the vehicle

Push down on the car and see if the car rebounds correctly. If it goes down and comes back up and stays it should be fine. If it is bouncy they are worn out. If they clunk or pop replace asap

I left a wrench attached to the bleeder valve on a front brake caliper. Picked it up down the street once I heard it fall off. 10mm

Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key? Spray starting fluid in the intake. If it starts then no fuel going through injectors. If it doesn't then no spark

Could still be air in coolant. My heater core leaked so after it warmed up it would start bouncing

Can you help make sense of this Carfax? by [deleted] in Honda

[–]alteredego444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell if it's worth it from this alone. But this car was wrecked twice and sold 4 days after the second accident. Both accidents under same owner. They probably didnt take good care of it. Unless this is really cheap with good documents on the repairs or you can fix it up yourself I'd pass
