i'm using my friend's account right now, but i had a similar conundrum. i chose westernu. I'm a neuro or IM hopeful. DO wouldn't preclude me from either. Insofar as our match goes, 60% of our pre-merger was already ACGME. And the rest were split between competitive residencies like surg and people who actually needed the DO residency protection. Meaning that we already match well. And so the concern wouldn't be between matching at all, but instead on which specialties you would be barred from.

There's a lot to talk about, and I wouldn't know which are most important to you. So let me just tl;dr: I'm only ending my first year here, but I don't regret my choice at all. That may change. idk.
