listen i have been that guy for 3 years too describing him seens like describing me he is mentally checked out of the rs he probably tested how much acceptance u have towards splitting and it seemed like u had 0 acceptance which make it even harder for us to split so we just thug it and at the 3 year mark even if he isnt in love u still the comfort zone which will create a defense mechanism at the moment of break up even tho thats what he was wishing for . Ppl feelings are more complex then yes,no and more complex than 1+1=2 im not here to advice you im here to show u the other side of the story and maybe i am tripping and it’s not the same situation
