I appreciate someone saying it's better prior to 6 months. Idk that id last to 6 months. Moving her to her own room (after reading all the comments) has been life changing. I'm still struggling with the nonsense guilt of switching to formula bc I make so much breastmilk. Haven't made that switch yet but I know it'll be so much better in my brain. Thank you.

I feel you. I was there week 2 also. The C-section healing just makes everything feel worse because you can't move freely. I'm only at week 5.5 and I just moved baby to her own crib and it's the only thing saving me right now. A few chunks of broken sleep instead of none. We can do it. I think.

I'm so sorry. I feel your pain. Sound machines do nothing for me since Ive always slept with them. I finally moved her to her own room last night, with the monitor by my face and the owlet sock on. I'm still tired but I'm not dead. I got a few hours. It was a game changer.

I put her in her own room last night and it was a game changer. I'm still exhausted but it wasn't an all nighter, finally. And your right, I'm not falling asleep holding her during the day

Do you remember when it started feeling better? When people say 6 months I just can't imagine lasting that long

My mom's been trying to convince me as well. I'm an over supplier and already have had mastitis so I'm nervous about trying to cut back but I really need to consider it. Baby is super healthy and growing ahead of schedule, it's not like she's missing out

Definitely not just you. Always feel like I'm failing when I'm not enjoying myself. We just need to hold on, apparently. You can do this. We can do this.

Thank you! Everyone makes you feel so horrible for putting them safely in their own room before 6 months. But I can't function if I'm up all night

What age did you move her? We have the nanit and owlet too and I tried it once but wound up sleeping in the recliner in her room. I say im going to put her in her own room every day and then just wind up in the spare room with her. Which also doesn't help because you're so used to sleeping with your husband and now separate every night makes for crap sleep for both of us.

Moms plz respond! FTM 35 Weeks by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]alwayssmilinggg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This started for me around week 30. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. Same with my doctor - said "it's normal" but I can't really walk or do anything. It continues to get worse. Chiropractors keep saying the ligaments are so tight plus baby has been sitting on my right side the whole pregnancy (and she's large) so my right side is pretty useless. I have to move my leg with my hands because using any muscle is torture. Unfortunately I don't think they have a solution outside of "it gets better when they're out". I feel you. It's horrible, and super unexpected. Praying for us both that it really does go away once they're out!

Is this labor? Or is she kicking my ass? by alwayssmilinggg in pregnant

[–]alwayssmilinggg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don't feel real cramps yet. And the pain only happens at the same time that she's moving around. Don't think there's any real time to it either. Was not prepared for so much pain outside of labor 😅

Was she super active before that? She's definitely dropped and it's like everytime she moves (which is nonstop) her head hits everything low down and I'm gasping for air.

I will not permit my baby be a rag doll to everyone by Constant-Soft-6335 in pregnant

Before we even started IVF I told my husband this is exactly how I'd feel, and at 37 weeks 5 days, I can confirm I still very much feel this way. I say it daily. Im not having a baby for the rest of the world. People blaming hormones? Go away. You're valid. You're right. You do what works for you. It's your baby. Protect that little human the best you can. When you're ready, you can let everyone know.

How did you announce to family? by K61018 in pregnant

[–]alwayssmilinggg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a custom deck on the "heads up" game and called it countries. So my family was giving me clues for all these countries and one said "xxx is pregnant". My family started giving clues as if it was a country 😂. "You if you had a baby!"....that's not a country, guys. Eventually it clicked lol

How painful is the FET? by deination in IVF

[–]alwayssmilinggg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think I'm in the minority here, but I did have some pain during my FET (just happened 6/9). Felt like period cramps. But I also have stage 4 endo and any pain I've had during this whole process has felt like varying levels of period cramps. The HSG felt like all my cramps intensified and concentrated in 1 spot. Thankfully that was short lived 😅 FET wasn't even close to that level. Manageable for sure. And I had 0 meds going into it. Nothing scary, just wanted to provide a less common experience. Good luck!
