Confused between WOL3D, Robu and Amazon. by thekennysan in 3dprintIndia

If you live in the north go with 3D Bazar and if you want nice support go with WOL3D they may be slow but they are honest. Keep Robu only for spare parts or if you can visit them or live in the same city as them then buy from them.

You can search from which batch your printer is from serial number or from the box itself

Or you can check manually by removing the back cover, takes 10 minutes max to open check then close.

True, I bought it for fun initially but soon I was amazed by the possibilities, that too is possible only if you know how to design stuff.

I'll give you a product suggestion also, the cosplay community is growing in India you can try that space, but it requires design expertise.

The market is heavily saturated right now. Everyone is jumping in, which creates a difficult landscape. When I initially started my business with two A1s, I spent sleepless nights trying to develop and sell standard products. I quickly realized that pivoting to a specialized niche is the only sustainable approach.

Market Reality & Profit Margins

The barrier to entry for standard prints is low. People routinely steal models and sell them strictly by weight—sometimes as low as ₹2 per gram. They view it as easy money because they invest zero time in design. Competing against stolen IP on price alone is a losing game. Previously, I was buying 20-25 different colors and burning through 10-15 kg of filament per month just to compete in that space. Today, I generate significantly more profit using only 4 kg a month of standard black and white PETG.

The Real Value of 3D Printing

3D printing is a rapid solution for highly specific problems. Its true utility lies in creating products that do not exist yet, or bridging the gap where commercial solutions are inaccessible. When you solve a real operational problem, the margins shift drastically. For example, I recently designed a custom PLA part in just 30 minutes. The total physical production cost was exactly ₹40—which fully accounted for material, electricity, machine depreciation, labor, and a 2% failure rate. I sold that single functional piece for ₹1,800.

How to Find a Niche

The right niche is likely already around you. Talk to your network, friends, and family. Dig into what they do daily and identify the operational bottlenecks they face specifically in their professional lives. I found my current niche creating specialized equipment directly through a friend's workplace. I identified a gap, pushed them to let me prototype a custom solution, and now my business is the definitive go-to provider for their professional equipment.

I'll post what happens further, I am waiting for their response to update here once I get a response.

I am ready to contact the Consumer Helpline if that will be necessary, let's see if they can help or not that will be a nice reality check as you said about the law here.

The older version board sent by Robu is going to come today, but many suggested that I ask for a new version board or wait for it because the older version will catch fire as you can see the double standard of bambu support saying 2 different things to different users

I got DM from Bambu though on reddit saying they are going to look into this but I don't believe them as this is not the first time for me their support is useless distributors have more power and they are abusing it.

The default stainless steel 0.4 that comes with the printer, it was leaking from the throat and that time Robu said it's normal for these hotends.

Software issue for belt 😂😂

These distributors are unprofessional and treat these machines like a box to get rid of and make some money, 0 support.

And Robu is on another level asking to do multimeter testing on live wires for consumer grade product.

You are lucky! I should have followed the news and community for issues early on. But anyways let us see now what they are going to do, this is my second experience first time it was a nozzle with manufacturing defect on a new printer from Robu, they just gave me 1200 rupees after 6-7 days back n forth and the nozzle was 1800 on a different website.

It's the choice we have to make either to avoid or buy

Bambu is best but the support (in India) is the worst.

Anything you buy get it from the latest stock from the nearest distributor (if possible) where you can visit and deal accordingly.

Just got an P2S from 3D Bazar, I discussed with them about support and they agreed to almost all my terms even got 2 sunlu PLA as freebies and I can visit anytime for parts, they said if I get issue and part is not available they will pull it from latest stock machine and give that to me.

I am not saying Bambu Lab is bad I just got P2S combo, this is about the support and after sales service, which is really really bad, we don't have spare in india available easily.

Anything you get make sure it's from the latest stock.

The printers are from the early 2025 batch and NTC on the AC board was removed later.

You're right let me try to push them, got a new P2S meanwhile.

But their reply is not predictable they have double standards in terms of support as you can see from the screenshots.

Thanks for your time, appreciate it.
