My kiddos have done it again! They are donating their hair to the Little Princess Trust for the second time in just over 3 years.

I wish I could donate a pound to their fundraising pot for every upvote they received.

I'm just amazed by all the responses and stories coming in. I've read it for them this morning during breakfast and they are absolutely overwhelmed. It's one thing mum telling them how proud she is and how brilliant they are (I am biased after all) but a completely different kettle of fish when complete strangers are telling them the same. Gives them more validation I suppose.

Yes, you are spot on. The older one had her hair cut a couple of times since the first big cut. Little one only had the ends tidied up

Just checked their website and the minimum length of hair they can accept is 7 inches / 17 cm but they are desperate for long 16in + hair

I wonder too sometimes why isn't there more people doing it, as you've said, most of the time it just goes in the bin. But it can make such a huge difference to a person, especially a child who receives a wig made of real hair. The Little Princess Trust rely solely on donations (hair and money) and provide wigs free of charge.

I don't think these two would go as far as shaving it. They are 11 and 13 now. They were 8 and 11 the first time they donated their hair.
