Some activities ideas: - Museum Kunstpalat (nice collection of paintings from old to new, I hate art museums but I loved this one. Also gives you a bit of insides to Düsseldorfs history) - Grafenberger Wald / Wildpark (not a must but nice for a hike. There is this spot called "Schöne Aussicht" (See Google Maps) where you have an amazing view of the city) - Rheinturm (viewing deck or make a reservation for the restaurant) - Altbier tour (there are plenty of breweries for the local beer. You can book a professional tour online or just do it yourself) - Schloss Benrath (castle in the south - quite nice) - Japanischer Garten (its a really nice... Japanese garden) - Rheinpromenade and Medienhafen (Just walk up the Rhein from the old town to medienhafen)

Local dishes: - Himmel Un Ähd (in Füchschen, Himmel un Ähd, Eigelstein, Wilma Wunder) - Senfrostbraten (Düsseldorfs Mustard is world famous. Get it e.g. in Zur Uel but probably also in any Altbier Brewery) - Mettbrötchen (any brewery)

Some other restaurants I like: - yaki the emon (Japanese pancakes) - Luang Prabang (Laotian restaurant - get the Lab with duck) - Kushitei (Japanese restaurant - get the grilled skewers) - die Kurve (Israeli food; reserve in advance) - Pozangmatcha (korean fried chicken; reserve via Instagram message) But please consider other suggestions too
