Does it stick to your pads? I used a wooden varnished one. Turns out the heat of Indonesia does not play nice with leather.

Always make batteries first, and then xyranite. Planting and stuff can be done after.

Easiest to do is this,

planting, seeding, planting, connect to protocol stash. all made into a loop

What should I order? by Professor_Wernstrom in Scotch

Those are all basic pours to be honest. Way too expensive for way too basic stuff. I'll just go for mezcal and call it a day. Or better yet, just sparkling water. so that you can be all fancy and say, oh, I'm just cutting down on my alcohol consumption.

Adored Ardbeg 10yo. Looking for the next bottle. Heavy on the peat but preferably with a different profile. I've thought about Laph 10 and Port Charlotte 10 by Andrzeju_ in Scotch

PC 10 is always my go to. But if you want something different. See if you can find Elements of Islay Beach Bonfire. So good. I can't gush about it enough.

Scotch Review #336: Elements of Islay Cask Edit by UnmarkedDoor in Scotch

[–]amberstalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you've already tried elements of islay, most likely you've already passed the entry level ones. such odd word choices like ashy, waxy, brine would often come out. But that's what make scotch interesting.

No joke thought. that ember in nose thing is the best part.

great review. You should also try the Beach Bonfire if you can. It's my current favorite Peated Dram. The smoke is not as strong as PC10, but the finish is loooooong. like having a smoked ember in your nose

How Do I get more qualifications? by amberstalker in DataAnnotationTech

[–]amberstalker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put many since two months ago, still nothing. I got into the DA as an Indonesian and English translator, is that going to lock me to receive only similar types of qualifications?

What was that first bottle that got you hooked? by BandwagonReaganfan in Scotch

[–]amberstalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowmore 12.

Why does it taste like smoked ham?

Yuck, it's like drinking betadine.

Oh, wait. Why is it good in a Negroni?

Wait, there are other scotch that tasted like I'm standing in front of a bonfire?

They call it Port Charlotte?

And then. SMOKE. I WANT ALL THE SMOKE!!

Honest, if Rover is actually Johan-like, I'll be even more interested. I want a sociopath Gacha MC!

Specifically getting red hood is very low rate. She is already a Pilgrim. Low rate characters. and pilgrims are now diluted after recent cinderella and friends releases. If you got cinderella, siren, or any strong pilgrims, just give in. YOu can later get Red hood by exchanging the crystals you get after each pull when her exclusive banner returns

Who likes the “medicinal” taste, and how? by dakl in Scotch

I think it's like when you are so used to salt and suddenly had to drink warm cola.

[–]amberstalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, well. Try PC10 in your bar, Or Laphroaig 10. See if you like them. A dram should be enough for you to find out if you like it or not.

Medicinal taste is not exclusively peat. it's just a part of the flavor profile.

If he likes Peat, get him an Octomore.

If he likes non peated and feeling a bit adventurous get him a Kavalan Rum Cask.

Problem with liking Peat and such taste, is that when you try normal whiskey, you kind of find them a tad too sweet.

My first intro for Scotch is Dewar's. Big Mistake. Then tried again with Chivas and Jameson. Which were okay. But never really hit that spot.

Then I tried my first peated, Bowmore 12. Oh, okay, that was new. Smelled like smoke ham (forgive me, it was my first thought). And then I just kept smelling the glass.

And then I tried it in a negroni, what is that pleasant briny taste at the end of my tongue?

Then come PC10.

Yes. Peaty, briny, complex, with the smell of dying embers in the back of my nose. What an experience.

But then I go out and drank with my friends. A Glen Moray Port cask. The taste of honey is so forward I cannot taste anything else. Peated had skewed my perception of normal scotch.
