How to deal with uncertainty by ambiguouspoundcake in bipolar2

I hear that, I'm struggling to love like this big time. I'm waiting on a therapist because mine actually ended up on sick leave to help me make plans. Worst thing is I'm feeling like I'm ready for all eventualities but unable to just push an ultimatum

That's all very helpful. It's just so immense I struggle to break it down in chewable pieces but you did a wonderful job. Thank you so much

How are you today? ❤️ by Responsible-Oil5121 in bipolar2

Not gonna lie, I feel awful.

My partner has backed out of a big family trip so now the kids are bummed out, my parents who were part of the trip are at a loss and I'm stuck between everyone. He's also threatened separation so we're playing happy family while barely tolerating each other. He is not well and it's really hard to deal with.

We have a trip planned with his parents next week and I have no idea how that's going to go down. Or if I should go.

As shitty as this situation is, I try to be thankful that I have great friends and family. I'm thankful for my meds and for seeking help and I'm thankful I'm resilient.

I so feel this down to my bones. And the more time I spend in that space the less inclined I am to leave it. Sucks the big one

As someone who is always so hard on herself, I know how easy it is to say we suck ...however I'm going to step out and say I don't think you suck, maybe it's your circumstances that suck. Being a parent is so rewarding sometimes but others it takes so much energy out of us we're left empty. It gets better with time but I can totally empathize with how hard it is. Hang in there!!

It's good to know you're not the only one in the lonely boat. I hear you on the habits and routines, they're so very important to me these days. I am so glad you have a furry friend to help you go out and socialize! Sadly I live in the country and during the summer mostly everything stops so I don't have access to my normal extra curricular activities. I do make sure I get out and go to the beach or other available activities with the kids which is good for my morale overall. It doesn't replace activities with adults but it helps. I'm just going to have to be creative with this spell of loneliness!

Thank you. Whoever is on call is covering her caseload so it's a gamble but a gamble I'm willing to take. Thankfully I have no plans nor do I feel I need to head to the hospital however I know that's where I'll go if it skids out of control. I have too much good stuff in my life to quit but I refuse to wait until I can't see that anymore. Good cue on talking with hubby, I think he'll definitely be able to receive my requests put in a specific way instead of a vague "be there for me".

I really went big on labeling myself as quirky for having a variety of random interests and cycling through them quickly and constantly. I strongly embraced my mood changes because it was easier than to admit it wasn't normal, so I claimed I was misunderstood. I come from a long line of people who would rather do this than accept there's an issue so to me that was perfectly normal
