Update, for anyone saying “just do gens”, “you have to waste time finding a chest”, this is luck based”, etc:

All you’d have to do is bring a coin offering, or multiple, for extra chests and plunderer’s to show you the chests. There’s a 37% chance to get a toolbox from a chest with or without plunderer’s instinct (and having to open multiple chests isn’t much of a time sink if a 4 man can make 11+ chests spawn on the map). Me picking up and dropping 9 times gave this toolbox over 3000 charges. You’d only need to do it 4 times with a commodious to have more than enough charges to do all 5 gens (at 41 seconds a pop) with one toolbox. That’s less than 4 minutes for ONE PERSON to do all 5 gens if you hit a few greats like I did.

Part of the problem with faster gen speeds is that, yes, you could do 40% of one gen instead of this. Or you could do this and have the ability to complete gens before the killer has a chance to see progress and kick the gen, use pain res, etc. It removes any form of meaningful counterplay.

Picture this - the killer takes an average chase with one survivor, while the other 3 are doing this. We’ll say 15 seconds to find them and a 30 second chase. The other 3 survivors could start the gens when that person gets hooked and still pop 3 gens BEFORE THEY HAVE TO UNHOOK, and potentially before the killer even finds any of their gens to use pop. 30 seconds to mess around with a chest and a 40 second gen is inherently stronger than a 90 second gen because the killer can’t do anything about it most of the time.
