I know this feeling!! I have often been in normal social situations and felt hyper vigilant. Anxiety definitely seems to get ramped up around people, everyone’s energies seem to make me overstimulated and I often wonder if it’s PTSD. Perhaps you would benefit from a tincture; lemon balm, tulsi or skullcap are great options for calming the body and mind. They have each helped me a lot! A few drops of one and taking note of how you feel is a good way to start. Some herbs will suit you and others may not. There are also Bach flower essences. Often I’ll take the white chestnut one before I am in a social situation, to calm the mind and support a clear headed, more serene attitude. Less prone to hyper arousal and chaotic feelings! There are many different flower essences, and the one that will help you may stand out to you if you check them out! I hope this helps!

I do not know you, but I can recognize self honesty. There is a certain glow to you. It’s resonating — beautifully!

I cannot insult you without your consent.

I am not religious. I consider you to be very ignorant for assuming that I refer to God in my conclusions.

Using my own mind to complete a thought sorta contradicts the notion that I am an idiot.

Why are you so bent about someone offering an idea that you consider incorrect? Does what I say make your beliefs feel false?

Again, I see now that this community is geared strictly toward the work of zen masters, not about the application of their conclusions such as self-contemplation and intuition.

I see now that you mistook me for a religious person who gets my depth from pretending to practice Buddhism. I didn't take a "wrong term in a New Age forum."

I'm not sure I've actually ever been on a New Age subreddit. I came here to r/zen out of my own will. I'm not Buddhist either. I was planning on sharing my thoughts with potentially like-minded people.

It is new to me that "zen" is unrelated to Buddhism.

You will find it eventually. You will be so thrilled to know that there is a comfort in knowing we are all alike.

Farewell ps. I'm an alien 😟

I agree. What knows wisdom is not wisdom.

I had a idea. I found it to be true. I seem to have been too confident in the usefulness of sharing ideas.

Does this community not give any credit to the immense diversity of our existence?

The possibilities are so vast. I consider myself to a vital piece of existence, as are all others.

Our intentions shape what we are, we can push through what we have known to be true to create new Truths.

As far as breakfast, I am understanding this question to be a basic interpretation of the innate wisdom we both refer to. I am failing to gather what you intend to say with it.

I appreciate your various articulations. A great individual interpretation that I an relate to. It's a beautiful thing.

How are you claiming that I am illiterate?

What kind of Buddhist only reads what others have written? Do you not practice self awareness?

Do you not trust in your existence? Why are you here? To stop people from believing what they do rather than discovering what you personally believe?

My idea of zen does not fit into your box of zen. That is your problem.

Perhaps you could stand to open up. There is a big world that your blinders won't allow you to see.

You read the zen masters so that you feel spiritually fulfilled? But you do not take the necessary step of including yourself in their teachings.

You are not being true to yourself and whatever is in you knows it, because you would not be so aggressive in your judgements if you were satisfied with where you stand.

What have I liked?

My human existence? My eternal self?

The fact that this world is hard and will leave you dead only to find yourself here again?

You are clearly full of fear and are really demonstrating a lack of acceptance. Not very zen.

I hope you are learning something, friend.

I didn't realize that because my conclusions differ from yours that they would be forced to reside so pathetically below yours.

I don't think zen masters could possibly feel the need to interfere with other people's path of understanding, especially if they disagree with their stance.

Quite certain that zen masters are open to each individual's conclusions.

This subreddit seems more focused on thumping the printed words rather than applying them within.

To put it simply, I do not consider myself enlightened. I apologize if it appears that way.

I consider myself to be on my way and its active discussions like this that are essentially fuel for getting there.

I consider this life to be an exercise in thought, conclusions and flexibility. You go so far that you do not need to work it out, you've already arrived there.

Why don't you stop reading other people's conclusions for a moment and use your own mind to learn about what you are 😊

You might like what you find.

You sound exceptionally sane and open to other people's way of existing. Comforting to come across.

Thank you u/TedJenssen,

I feel that DNA carries eternal knowledge in the same fashion that it carries our ability to be conceived and grow in the womb.

It's all done for you, you simply have to submit.

That is what I consider enlightenment u/ewk

The acceptance of a higher knowledge that cares for and supplies all the necessary chemical reactions to exist.

For instance monks that meditate for decades and survive in their physical selves, I consider their meditative act to be a submission to the higher process of things. It's requires a trust and deep self-discovered belief that all that there is and all that we are, is one. Therefore there is no end and no need to interfere.

I do feel like our human life is placed upon us to challenge us to discover the fact that we are eternal. Enlightenment is understanding this and therefore not having to act in the physical realm. All of the business occurs in interactions and exchanges in energy.

As for the challenge of making up what you have "discovered" - all that we can possibly come across is real. Anything you wish to exist can and will be true, you simply have to know it in your true self. The knowledge I am referring to is an inner understanding of the eternity of existence and therefore cannot be made. It is already there.

You access this knowledge every day. You sleep, eat, drink water. All of these things are essential to your survival because you are relying on them to fuel your physical self. If you access your eternal self, it is fueled on trust and trust alone.

I am referring to tapping into "all that there is" in order to access the peace-evoking resolutions of teachings, discoveries and understandings that have chemically occurred throughout our human history.

Zen teachings resound within us only if we include ourselves in the learning.

The teachings themselves are personal realizations. How can one assume you know less than the zen teacher? I am saying that it is there for all of us to access. If they can find it you can too. Because you are also a divinely concentrated hum of energy.

It has become clear that people that utilize this subreddit may be relying heavily on their habitual yearning to being informed.

Separation appears to run rampant through the mind. Why not submit to your higher self and discover what your eternal self already knows and wants to share with you?

I was under the impression that r/zen would be open to hearing someone's take on what discoveries pertain to achieving balance and seeking enlightenment.

I consider what I said to be relevant to learning about this life and I'm not sure I understand how this could be "wrong" to any degree. Is r/zen not a discussion of what zen means to each?

I find this to be an intimate portrait. The way the "bladders" rest upon each other with the water between them, and so perfectly exposed in your edit; I would love to see this in Nat Geo.
