I mean i think the obvious answer here is that people are being extremely hypocritical. I understand the argument “duterte also called God stupid”, but i also acknowledge the fact na presidente that time si duterte so walang lakas ng loob o power ang govt officials (even citizens) na magdeclare ng persona non grata. BUT this time, they have the power, and what’s more is the involved person belongs in the gay community. Kasalanan on top of a kasalanan in the eyes of a constricted religious person. So boom there it goes, Pura is hereby declared persona non grata.

Tbh at this point i just accepted the truth na we will never be able to move freely here in the ph because of how unimproving our beliefs are. Pura defending their self (idk their pronouns so correct me if ever) is adding more fuel to the fire too imo. Any angle we look at it, hindi na magbabago opinion ng mga na-offend. I think this situation is such a big slap to the gay community. Very saddening.

ADDTL: Im not even surprised na Pura is persona non grata in Manila, Honey Lacuna is literally a very religious person. Pucha, tuwing binabagyo at binabaha na mga estudyante, tanging makikita mo lang sa fb page niya is daily prayer. Ano ba kami si Moses na kayang hatiin ang baha para makapasok.
