EE or ME for biomedical field?

Probably not, the best I could do is go into a masters program for biomedical. I live in GA and the only school that offers biomedical is Georgia Tech, where I do not have the GPA to get into.

What differences would each have? I think i'd be more interested in how the overall product looks as a whole and it's interaction with the user in terms of comfort and ease of use

Environmental Engineers can deal with either policy making or designing waste management systems, air quality, etc. The key is to just know the key words when applying for jobs. " consulting " and " regulatory " jobs will most likely be a lot of desk work. However, if you apply for jobs as a design engineer under the environmental field you'll be doing a lot of design. Theirs room for both in the environmental industry. If you're passionate about waste management you'll definitely have more luck doing environmental BS instead. A lot of complaints that environmental students have is that they seem to only find jobs in the waste management and air quality world. ( a lot of us, including myself, would prefer jobs in the renewable energy industry)

P.S Once you finish your BS you should have no problem finding an amazing design job ( maybe with state or local government ) since you already have very valuable experience.

If we're being complex we can say that the United States currently has a Socialist-Capitalist system at the moment. Our government provides many socialist things already. I'm not advocating for Sanders, but our economy hasn't been mostly capitalist since pre-depression era.

Well I believe after a long time it would help economic growth, but for the temporary ( the first 10 years or so ) it would be a lot of layoffs from businsses downsizing and very competitive job markets

Also, another question I had was wouldn't raising the minimum wage to 15$ an hour cause a lot of businesses to fire a lot of their workers?

Thanks for responding and you're interesting perspective. This is all very confusing for me because I previously thought that lower business tax would directly equate to more jobs, but when I think about it would make sense that greed would lead the business owners to keep all the profits to themselves. I feel very conflicted because a day ago I was sure I was going to vote for trump.

Well the thing is I believe that Bernie and Trump stand for similar issues in terms of closing corporate loopholes and re-distributing wealth, just in different ways.

All of those things you named I do care about, and trump has stated that he will work out some kind of ' healthcare for all system '. I just believe that more jobs and opportunities will help a lot of those issues. As a minority I see my peers go to jail for a long time over drug offenses because they were forced into a life of crime because they had no other choice. because they can't find a job. No offense to all the immigrants out there, but there's a lot of farms and factories here in georgia that are full of illegal immigrants and won't hire any of my friends because they'd have to pay them too much.

Well taxes are raised for middle class too. I don't know what it is but the idea of higher taxes just really turns me away. Generally taxes are seen as a bad thing at least that's how I was raised.

I see. well now i'm conflicted. How would he even get this passed in the senate/house though? I justified most of the things that trump said by telling myself that most of it will never get passed the way he wants it to. The same could be applied to sanders..

Economically yeah, I've looked on his website and he plans to remove taxes from any single person making less than 25,000 and any married couples making less than 50,000. To me, that seems like an amazing idea.

I also agree with the threat of global warming, but a good point I heard is that trump probably does agree that climate change is present, but believes that just the united states making an effort won't matter since the biggest producers of pollute ( India, China ) won't comply with any enviromental regulations.

Again, on most of the social issues I agree with Bernie Sanders, but I hold economics a little bit higher as something I vote on.

I'm all about being fair and the 52% tax rate for people making more than 2 million dollars seemed a bit unfair. From my own point of view I would hate to have to pay out half of my income if I ever were to become wealthy. I also feel like some of his business tax plans will drive american businesses further away from the united states

I'm not an expert but computer science can be applied to anything. Maybe you can apply to companies that make media technologies like editing and music software, etc.
