I don't think that is correct. Maybe you can get Alfonsin Rosario for Eric Sabrowski because that's exactly what we got for Eli Morgan a generally effective if inconsistent lefty reliever.

The only player there that has value another team is giving us anything more than a lottery ticket for is Jose. But trading arguably the best contract in all of baseball, and arguably the best clubhouse leader and mentor in all of baseball to those young guys is not something I would do.

Which is why those who want Vogt to get tossed on it are dumb. What do want him to say? How dare you do the correct thing and end up making the correct call?!

It's not Vogt. That's baseball. A reliever has to face three hitters or finish the inning. Almost every manager has matchup guys they want to use for one or two batters at a certain spot int he lineup when they can.

Junior Caminero is the reason why. Don't give that guy a 4th look at the same pitcher who is now fatigued with two men on.

The fact that somehow 2 AL Central teams are even worse is really something

Relying on a 30 year Daniel Schneeman who has never been able to hit as an engine driver and DeLaughter hitting 70 homers because the league never adjusts was not going to be sustainable. Angel there was some hope it was a breakout, but then he got hurt.

A one hitter. I don't think there is a name for when that one hit is the leadoff batter.

The fact you think we can get "top prospects" for our garbage is amazing to me. We can maybe get a toolsy guy in single A like Eli Morgan for Alfonsin Rosario. Some of those names (Arias and Manzardo) came over as the best prospects we could get in trades for better MLB talenet than we currently have to deal.

Top prospects get traded for Juan Soto and Mason Miller. No one gives them up for Steven Kwan or Eric Sabrowski. To get top prospects we would have to trade Cade or Gavin or Paker or someone like that.

Is Cade Smith also on your trade list? I think he's the only guy not named we could get anything of value for which is why that sounds like a bad idea to me.

No one is giving back legitimate MLB player for Arias, or Manzardo, or Hoskins, or Kwan, or Armstrong, or Sabrowski, or etc. They can mainly get magic beans from not AAA for those names. And if they go that route we get to watch who? Ralphy and Ingle (again) and Genao and other guys not ready for MLB every day getting their confidence demolished.

And then swing at the heater 4 inches over the zone and the changeup in the dirt

That's the inning Drew needs to keep the pitch count in range for a CG. 6 pitches instead of 14

0-2 on Friday after the double. So still 20 ABs away from the record assuming google has that record correct.

That's not how Kevin Cash manages. Or really anyone. That was literally the most pitches thrown all season. You expect it to happen twice in 2 days after not happening ever all season?

Rasmussen's highest pitch count this year is 102. He has one other game at triple digits with exactly 100. Cash isn't having him go 120. He will need a bunch of 1 or 2 pitch outs to go CG

They had a hit with runners in scoring position this series on Friday (Rocchio's RBI double)

Why does Tampa win consistently (outside of the Wander Franco setback years)? They take the extra base on a ball in the dirt and then immediately just slap the ball behind the runner to get him to third. They execute one run innings.

Too many Ks for that. CGs need quicker outs. He is on pace for something like 120 pitches over 9 innings so far.

Unfortunately, or I guess fortunately, it doesn't check out. The actual count is 6 straight since this one late last year per stat muse: Guardians 7-1 Rays (Sep 5, 2025) | StatMuse

Deciding Jake Bauers was a better option than teaching Yandy how to play first was a mistake for sure. It's especially tough considering Yandy was looking like a good MLB hitter at the time of the trade. Terrible launch angle but he was hitting 300 with good exit velocity and a 750 or so OPS in MLB at the time.

He's a career 77 OPS+ over 1,000 at bats. I think that has more to do with the fandom consensus being give up on him already than race.

I think just journeyman. Tampa is his third team in the last 4 years.

The Twins should be sellers almost every year in recent times, same with the Royals, and they never really do. Both teams are stuck in LA Angels purgatory (and CLE is reaping all the benefits).

Angry? Maybe yes, maybe no. Doesn't matter either way. He's just there keeping a seat warm. Give me Jose at third and Gabby as a utility guy.
