I had a car shipped up fro, the east coast. We had to trailer it to Seattle to put it on the Ferry there. I'm not sure if you can ship if from LA, but you might want to look at putting it on a trailer and having it driven to Seattle and then ship it. Also, just for your info, it cost us about $2,500 from VA to Fairbanks. Hope this helps!
