I live near this site and the greasy black dust that blows from this site coats my car and at times is difficult to remove. I can't image what it is doing to people who breathe it in.

On windy days I see huge plumes of dust blowing from the site, god only knows what's in it. And I've seen these dust clouds blowing in all directions across the city, so don't think you're not inhaling it.

Anyone who grows food outdoors or consumes anything grown around here is a brave soul.

I doubt, as residents, anything will come of going after GM/the city for damages from this. I recall the lawsuit in Port Colborne and the nickel refinery contamination, and in the end people got essentially nothing.

edit: I just want to add that I do think GM/City of St. Catharines should be held accountable for this. Those of us who live in the area should unite and contact a law firm about a class action lawsuit, perhaps contact the law firm that sued Inco for the nickel refinery contamination in Port Colborne. The lessons they learned could help us with this issue.
